Exactly, a FEW years. We were talkin about this in another thread. Linares would probably chew anyone 130 and below right now in my opinion. And by below I mean they have to move up, because Linares gets weight drained..
Yeah, Linares has a good shot at beating anybody from 130 on down.
Gamboa needs a few years to smooth out the rough edges, if him and his team can do that, Linares-Gamboa in 2010 or 2011 would be a great fight.
Linares wins right now, it would be a great fight in a few years' time.

I take JL in a late rds TKO, Gomboa is quick and might try to force the pace, but Linares is a very technically skilled fighter that will dissect you with body & head combos. I also give the power edge to JL.
this Fight Will Not Be Happening For A Very Long While.
Why In The Fuck Would Either Of These Guys Want To Get In With The Other When There Are Bigger Names And Easier Fights To Build Themselves Up?
Its Just For Fun......most Likely Wont Happen Soon I Know This
Gamboa by knockout.
Linares holds no advantages aside from height and reach. He's slower than Gamboa, can't fight inside, and depends on fighting at his pace in the center of the ring. The problem with that is Gamboa is lightning quick and his swarming tactics would take Linares out of his comfort zone. I really don't see this lasting long.
Linares without a doubt by KO! nothing against Gamboa but while both are great young fighters, gamboa needs still needs more ring experience and ive noticed that he seems to have a little of lapses in his defense which i believe Linares would take advantage of at this stage of gamboa's career! ive also said a couple times but even though he is young and hasnt fought in a while i already have Linares #10 on my top P4P boxers list he is that good and talented!
Gamboa needs more seasoning in my opinion. The fact that he was dropped in his first quasi test makes it easy for me to lean towards the current champ, Linares.

How is Gamboa winning in the poll? That's ridiculous, dude is good and has a great future, maybe even a brighter future. Right now it's no contest though, Linares takes this, very likely by KO.
