We all seen what Tony's pressure did to Miguel Cotto. If Margarito could walk through Tito's punches, could he eventually wear Tito down to the body and pull a B-Hopkins type finish on the Puerto Rican Puncher??? Tito's always had a suspect chin, and Tony's pressure, body attack and volume punching wear on opponents. He makes 'em work every minute of every round. He would basically double B-Hops output against Trinidad. Tony took Kermit's best shots, I think he could take the 147lbs version of Tito's best shots.
margarito is a good fighter with a great chin.
he's extremely predictable and does nothing of note, except have the ability to take shot after shot after shot.
you can't take shot after shot after shot with tito standing in front of you.
tito by BRUTAL KO. tito was a world beater when his opponents stood in front of him, it would just take longer with margarito.
Tito had a problem breaking down Mayorga's chin to no success plus even showboating w/ him. Do we mean Mayorga chin > Margarito chin? I think otherwise. Margo for me i guess.
:boxing:
and the only reason he even dented Mayorga was because Ricardo let him take 3 free shots.
FELIX TRINIDAD
This would almost certainly have ended in someone being stopped. Trinidad would have had the edge in hand speed and probably in firing power, too, with Margarito possessing a clear advantage when it came to absorbing punishment. Margarito's iron chin would have been severely tested, but his left hooks and uppercuts would have been a threat to Trinidad, who was dropped by left hands in his fights with Yory Boy Campas and Kevin Lueshing. Margarito would probably have been the underdog, and it would have looked this way as the more polished Trinidad unloaded blistering barrages. One big left hook or uppercut from Margarito could have turned things around in an instant, however. With victory in sight, Trinidad might well have been caught by a powerful left-hand blast that, in his eagerness to close the show, he wouldn't have seen coming.
Pick: Margarito KO6
OSCAR DE LA HOYA (AT HIS PEAK)
De La Hoya would have had the advantages in speed and talent, but Margarito might have been a nightmare for him even on the Golden Boy's best night. De La Hoya's late-rounds fade against Trinidad has been well-documented, and he barely beat Ike Quartey. He might have been able to outbox and outsmart Margarito to win a string of early rounds, but Margarito's incessant forward march, digging to the body at every opportunity, might have taken a toll on De La Hoya as the fight went deeper. This could have been one of those fights in which the superior boxer is outlasted by the one with the greater endurance and will to win. A battered Margarito, behind on points, could have overwhelmed a tiring De La Hoya in the home straight to score a dramatic and shocking upset.

lets the poll do the talking. even if you add tony winning it will not pass tito by ko

This thread just failed.
The thread starter doesn't know shit. Now hes talking about Tito's haircut, and other bringing in nationality into it..
You all fail.. Boxingscene is full or non boxing fans who have no lives to start shit online. Grow dicks, little pussy cats.
It's all in good fun my man, no need to get upset.
With or without illegal handwraps?
The one dimensioanl Cheato Trinidad would've been exposed by Margaritoe. Cheato would not have been able to fight at the non stop pace that Tony brings. THe pressure would've been too much for CHeato and his "papi" saves Cheato from further punishment similiar to the Hopkins fight.
Good post homie, forgot all about the illegal wraps, pinche Cheato.

I noticed when Tito had Wright cornered... he laid off and walked away. I know he and Wright were chummy and I know Tito has a BIG heart. No shame though, Tito was the BEAST Mexican-Daddy at 147lbs.
I read today that someone said "Tito!" And Vargas began to shake and screamed out "I am sorry, don't hit me!!!"
So that's why Winky won that fight, cuz Tito decided to let him survive, thanks for explaining that to me.
tony woulf of looked worse than trinidad against wright. nobody looks good fighting wright.
Tito didn't look good fighting or in the MIRROR. Did his barber quit that day? LOL.

He definately displayed those "mad skills" in the Winky fight, bwahahahaha. You're funny dude.:boxing:

Lol at Margarito better defense than tito, thats just ridiculous.
lol at Margarito breaking the one dimensional Ttito. Tito had mad skills, he just fell in love with the KO. Margaritos defense is his face, theres no ****ing way Margarito takes Titos power. If Trinidad lands a quarter of the total punches Cotto landed on Margarito, Margarito will be flat on his back!!!!

His so called one dimension got to 40-0 against a bunch of multi dimensional fighters. When you are the best in the game at that one dimension, than it only makes sense to force people to fight your fight cause your the best.
The people who have beaten Tito have been able to avoid fighting Titos style.
Margarito fights Titos fight and he's not as devestating, as quick, or as accurate. Hes just a tough guy, but Tito was the best infighter in the ww division by far. He was the best infighter at 154 and at 160.
Noone has ever standed in front of Tito. Vargas had never been down in his professional career. He met Tito and went down five times and knocked him out. Myorga had never been down in his career and he gave vernon forrest free shots. He met Tito and went down 3 times and got knocked out.
Marg has been down. He will go down again and again and again, and he would be knocked out. Tito has been the first loss on a bunch of undefeated fighters campus 56-0 de la hoya 28-0 vargas 22-0 (give or take a few wins on each). Thats just to name a few.
Marg is not the same calibur, Tito is top 147lbs of all time.

What are YOU talking about have u EVER seen Marg do anything other than go straight forward eating punches up!?
Hey i like em his chin is solid and he's as tough as nails but man i honestly cant think of a more one dimensional fighter!!!
Margarito is a great offensive fighter, and he trust his chin to go forward, watch marg vs cintron fight, you'll see Margarito smiling while taking bombs, and then come back with some beautiful uppercuts, and body shots
I insist with Tito been as dimensional as he can be watch Tito vs Winki
he was out class by winki, i don't think he even won one round.
Not prime tito for a start!
Smileing as u walk forward taking shots dont mean u aint one dimensional
Alright "carnal" than ANY WW coming out of Mexico. Simple. He bent Yory's neck like a taco. Better?
100 million and this is all you got Mexico? You let the man take Texas, California etc, from your 100million asses and you talk shyt about a tiny island of 4 million not stopping the USA? In PR we speak Spanish...do they speak Aztec in Texas or California? Who really got taken? Mexicans, fight back and take the 5 states that the Man took from you. Viva Mexico!!!
I looked up "carnal" in Websters and it read: Broke ass lingo spoken by bum ass people.
First off i aint said nothing to insult you and now i am. Second carnal translated means bro. I dont have to read shit off websters to know what it is ******! Go change your nametag fanboy and take your remarks and your dictionary and stick it very far up your ass where they belong. Go learn boxing from websters queer and go learn who trinidad was and is dumb****. You let the man take Texas? Im from Texas and i'm telling youf **** You!

Trinidad isnt exactly stylist of the decade but he looks it compared to Tony!
Watch his fights with Kermit, there's more there than just eating shots and coming straight forward. He smothered and frustrated Kermit with horriblbe pressure (for Cintron). He took power off Cotto's shots with that pressure, constantly having Cotto on the move.
Not knocking your boy man. Tito was a gift from the boxing gods. But i just dont see how his defense is better than Marg. Tito never knew how to adapt and what he did not have in defense he made up with power. Just look at the Cotto fight Tony took away Cotto's body punches and Cotto is a much better technician than Tito. So how come Cotto never landed his amazing body punches that carried him to and undefeated record? Defense. Even if it came down to chins and power i still think Tony would beat Tito. But its just and opinion! So dont take it personal.
No worrys everybody is entitled to an opinion man! But ur wrong. :nana:
Tony didnt adapt to overcome Cottos body shots he always has his elbows tucked down there, he aint open to body shots i'll give him that! Perhaps because he got dropped with a body shot early in his career?
Quote.
Tito had a FAR better defence than Tony! And although Trinidad never backed up when hurt did it hinder him? It made him the champion he was. If any of the 2 guys is one dimensional its Marg
What this guy is talking about?:dunno:
Tito was one dimensional as he can be, just watch de la hoya vs Tito and you'll see

How do you mention the names of Mexican greats like Sanchez, Chavez, who were no where near Tito's weight and then close your argument with freakin' Yori Boy Campas. You don't make any sense. You did mention Oscar's name, who was a smaller man than Tito; Tito never hurt him, on the contrary it was Tito's trunks that were stained in red from his own blood. And lastly, prove to me that Margarito can not stand up to Tito's power. He made Kermit Cintron and Miguel Cotto look like Ivan Calderon. Why wouldn't he be able to take Tito's punch. You must be high, so I forgive you.
LOl good point carnal.
