Other than that, we need guys to transcend the sport. Kelly Pavlik has Youngstown on his back, guys coming up like Berto and Danny Jacobs....Danny Jacobs will be a special fighter mark my words. A lot of these other guys like Paul Williams have great skills but really lack that "Mass Appeal", to get the casual fans talking. Yeah I really couldn't see P-Will catching on to very many casual fans, as he's still seen as a Middleweight fighting at 147 by some additionally his style gets shit because he's been known to slap with his punches. I'll have to agree on Pavlik though and add one thing .. he's very humble during all the interviews I've seen him in, and I really think that helps to build his profile .. as we are so used to the mindless shit talking that goes on in the sport .. discrediting of opponents, to smoking cigarettes at a press conference, the momma jokes .. etc It's very refreshing to see Pavlik stay away from all that crap, and in the long run I think Pav wins out, because it makes him a rarity.

If David Haye does what I think he can do, he will be a superstar. Boxing needs him to do good, create some high profile HeavyWeight fights. Other than that, we need guys to transcend the sport. I was watching "Orthodox Stance" on MSG, which is a documentary about up and coming light welterweight Dimitry Salita, who reps Brooklyn, and orthodox Jew who takes his religion as seriously as his craft. Guys like this transcend the sport to people that don't normally watch boxing, it gets people talking. Miguel Cotto, when he bounces back and rematches and wins to Margarito, he'll be Boxing's biggest star not to mention that Miguel Cotto vs. Antonio Margarito has the potential to be a great trilogy when Cotto wins the rematch and if they negotiate a rematch. Juan Manuel Lopez is another great name, he has a great style and appealing personality, he could very well be boxing's biggest star.

Pavlik will be for a while maybe David Haye if he delivers at heavyweight (not sure how the americans will take to him) i still think Cotto will be too *maybe* Chad Dawson aswell

If he can make some noise in the Heavyweight division, i think Christ Arreola has a bright future ahead of him. Agreed. If Arreola does well he can be big. He's likable and has the style many will pay to see.

I think Pavlik is already becoming a big star and I see berto because of his fighting style being very big in the coming years. I wouldn't be so quick to count cotto out.

Pavlik will gain mainstream hype if he beats hopkins. I think berto may in fact be the real deal and also get his share of popularity. Then again look at whos in my sig.

He can fight: Calzaghe - If Joe doesn't retire. Lucian Bute/Kessler - Both those fights would be great if he plans on Moving to Super Middle. Felix Sturm/Sebastian Sylvester- Would be huge fights in Germany. Plus there are plenty of up and coming fighters at Super middle who could make potential future fights for Pavlik. Carl Froch Andre Dirrell Adonis Stevenson Andre Ward Jean Pascal I think Joe will retire, Kessler would be the best fight out there for Kelly but Calzaghe beat him first and didnt become a massive global star Im not so much thinking who is the most skilled fighter, more to who will be the fighter that people know about. Ie.. Hagler, Hearns ,Duran Tyson, RJJ, PBF and De La Hoya. I still think Cotto will play a part.

There are good prospects such as Linares, Mares, and Gamboa who also have a bright future. However, i don't think they possess that superstar quality. If Andre Berto can stay undefeated and not jump in to quick with these top WW's he might be able to draw a lot of attention, same case can be made about Amir Kahn at lightweight.

I would say Andre Berto. Possibly Haye, if he does well as a heavyweight.. If Pavlik and Abraham fight, the winner of that fight goes to another level of stardom. Particularly Abraham since many people have already touted Pavlik as one of the greatest middleweights which I don't think he's even come close to proving yet. Antonio Margarito and Paul Williams

Usain Bolt & Michael Phelps who will both switch sports after the Olympics and meet in a heavyweight unification fight.

The best young boxer around is probably Christian Mijares, I also like the look of Nonito Donaire. It's a shame they are in low weight divisions.
