Calzaghe ain't a huge puncher, but Roy is chinny and prone to playing catch with his face these last couple of years when he trades. I do think that if Roy were to jump on Calzaghe early, when he's still fresh (and before Joe figures him out....), he has a remote chance of catching Zaggs cold and getting a stoppage. He's about the only one with the handspeed to have the chance to pull it off. But if it didn't work he'd be on the canvas soon after. He ain't got the legs for that kind of energy output anymore. It'd be a big risk on his part, but I'd probably take it if I were him....sort of an all or nothing move. If he managed it, he'd be considered maybe the one of the greatest fighters to have lived. If he didn't, he'd be considered one of the gutsiest fighters who ever lived. Win/win in my book :D

But that isn't what I said. We were talking about whether or not Calzaghe should fight Dawson, and I pointed out that the circumstances that suggest Calzaghe should fight Dawson are the same as those that said he should fight Lacy and Kessler, that Dawson is a young prime champ. And finally, if you think Jeff Lacy is comparable to Chad Dawson, you're not too bright. Being a young champ doesn't mean they compare. There are a lot of young champs, how general is that??
