I really like Kirkland alot, but Mayorga no matter what has faced and beaten elite fighters. I don't believe he is so shot that he would get beaten by a guy who got a flash knockdown from Allen Conyers. There isn't one name that stands out in Kirklands resume, so I side with the guy who is at least proven in the big stage.

Oh Shit thats a FIGHT right there!!! Fuck knows who'd win but it would be BRUTAL while it lasted, i prey this happens soon, a guy like Kirkland aint gonna get much better - he is what he is! And Mayorga aint gettin any younger, the sooner the better! I doubt it ever happens tho.

Everyone knows what Mayorga brings to the table he doesnt change, that's why Kirkland with his power and strength would smash him. I don't doubt Kirkland's strength at all, but until I see him with some REAL competition, a REAL test and see how he holds up againest those tests, then I say the old Mayorga would beat him.
