Why are Floyd/Williams fans so desperate & HAPPY to prove that Cotto/Margarito was a failure?
I don't understand. You would think as boxing fans that they would be positive about the way everything played out.
1. it was the most anticipated fight of the year
2. EVERYONE, experts, pundits, casual fans LOVED the fight so it was a worthy PPV
3. Boxing needed a fight like this lift it from the fallout of the lack luster PPV events such as DLH/Mayweather which disappointed millions of buyers.
The arena was obviously PACKED per Rogelio's and HTowntexan's own eye witness accounts and documented images they have provided and Dan Raphael's confirmation that the fight was a PPV success.
So why aren't these guys rejoicing like the rest of us boxing fans? Why are they bending over backwards trying to find ANY evidence that the fight was a complete failure?
The reaction, the success of this fight is pretty amazing seeing that a lot of you guys, Floyd fans, claimed Cotto was a "unknown New York local" and Margarito was an "unknown Mexican fighter who didnt even have a following within his own people" yet they were able to headline and produce a fight that is STILL being talked about today by casuals and hardcore fans and labeled as "A Fight For The Ages" by writers and experts.
Why don't we talk about Paul William's attendance records? I mean, you guys MUST be trying to point out some kind of lack of marketability which should explain your constant and devoted research and agenda to discredit any possible right to a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. So why not do the same for Paul Williams? Yes? No? Maybe So?
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Floyd is evil incarnate and so is Williams and his new crossover stans.

Now we got people making 3 month ban threads about this fight. What the fuck?
Is it about BOXING, or how many people showed up at the venue, and PPV numbers?
Shit is getting pretty foul, if you ask me....

I didn't want it to do BAD. I just wanted to see a good fight. I want Boxing to grow as a sport.
It didn't do bad. It did great. So many people have said that Cotto/Margarito was the best fight they've seen in a while.
I want to know right now if I'm lumped up into this group, 2501. Because if I am, don't beat around the bush, TELL me.
