I just rewatched this fight and I scored it 115-113 De La Hoya, but it was a lot different then ledderman's card, which I found very whacky.
Rounds I gave to Shane: 5, 7, 9, 10, 11
Rounds 3 and 8 were somewhat close, but I thought De la Hoya edged them mostly due to Shane's inactivity and De La Hoya landing cleaner shots. People make this out as a horrible robbery, but in all honesty it was a close fight and if Mosley's corner had actually given him useful advice, I think Shane would have won it. I thought De La Hoya won it in the end, but I'm not all that convinced either man truly won. If that fight was ruled a draw, I wouldn't have argued it.
This fight was tough to score. A lot of close rounds.
Lederman's cards in Williams-Quintana I, Mayweather-Chavez, Toney-Jirov...were all pretty bad.
Add to that Marquez-Barrera.
Shane landed the harder shots using his newer, "big puncher" style that he first tried out in the Forrest rematch but Oscar controlled the action with his jab and hooking off it all night. He also moved better (generalship) and exhibited better defense that night. It was a terrible decision and all of us watching were pulling for Shane... we were silent before the cards were read and Shane's biggest fan was whispering that he should prolly retire... when we heard the decision we were shocked and outraged at that bullshit and talked about it all week... I remember Bob Jackson saying in the gym the following Monday "That that was a plain *ss whooping and that those judges should be fired." Nobody disagreed.
Shane landed some pretty good shots especially the body. It seemed everyshot that Mosley landed, De La Hoya would tie up after. Mosley seemed a lot stronger (Steroids?)

I've always said that people watching fights that Harold Lederman does should just tune him out because he confuses a lot of casual observers... Btw Oscar boxed Shane's ears off that night!!!
ok people harold lederman is not a real person. that's why they never show him on camera. he's just someone in the hbo replay truck making funny voices and spouting jibberish to make lampley laugh.
now that i think of it, i have no idea what harold lederman looks like... i had never thought of that...
You posting reminds me of how he screwed up the first two rounds on Kessler-Calzaghe. That and I personally found his 116-111 score for Calzaghe to be to wide for Calzaghe-Hopkins, but that's subjective there.
Uh....Harold Ledderman used to be a real boxing judge and there are videos of him out there in interviews and stuff. I see him on camera sitting next to Larry all the time too. When the camera is at the blue corner's side you can see press row and if you look closely you can see him on camera.
  ..........!

This fight was no robbery unless you're in love with Oscar.
