Fight news reports this fight is off. Who should dlh target. he is in a bad spot now. anyone else other than margarito is a disgrace. I think he has no choice but to fight margarito! Plus no one is available unless he wants cotto, williams, cintron, clottey, judah.
Stop lusting for our latin women, stick to Jamaicans.
This guy has a problem with black posters who have pictures of latina women. He's an obvious racist and he continues to do this.
De La Hoya is old and doesn't have to fight anybody..
If he where to call it a day today and retire.. fine by me!
I personally don't know how many more DLH fights I can see.
Man, thats a cool avatar. Was there actually a Superman vs Ali comic book?
I think the majority of us would like to see him fight Marg. :boxing:
It would be very nice to have that fight at the Staples Center or Dodgers Stadium.
that would make him a hypocrite. just like he said he would never fight chavez who he fought twice, and same thing with vargas. but when vargas comes off the tito loss now dlh wants him. vargas and chavez's fan base and following was twice of that of margarito's. If he can fight them he can fight margarito. To be honest how bout he just go the F away and not even fight one last fight.
and he had backlash from the mexican fans when he faught both of them, so kow that he is going to retire why would he risk having another backlash of the mexican people?
i think he might fight hatton, he talked about that fight for a while even after hattons loss to floyd. but he has a date with paulie. only person i can think of is mosely if he beats mayorga.
Oscar doesnt want to be the "anti mexican" though. You know who the mexican people will side with if he fights Margarito.

I am glad that Manny stood his ground. There is a legit possibility of him getting seriously hurt and damaging his career if he fights Oscar. He should get paid accordingly.
Same here, it lead to the fight not happening :lol1:
But really, it was never going to work. a 135er Vs 154 pounder...Stupid fight..
I just read on another site that DLH Promotions have started negotiations with Nonito Donaire regarding a ODLH/Donaire superfight.
:D
Source or bullshit.
I heard he was in deep talks with PRs pride, Ivan Calderon.
that is very true, but no one can deny that Oscar has an ego as bright as Mayweather's, he just goes about it a different way. He works in subtle strategy so that the attention ultimately lands on him. Unlike Mayweather, he doesn't have to seek it. I think that he wants to be the only "Mexican" in his next bout. Fighting another Mexican only minimizes the potential sources of revenue where as fighting someone from another culture/race will bring another source of income into the equation, therefore MAXIMIZING and raising the bottom line of the business aspect of this fight (which take priority over quality when it comes to Oscar at this point).
you have very good point there
Just fight Margarito and go out with a bang. The fight won't generate money? Of course it will! DLH's name is absurdly huge, the word will spread about Margarito's lastest outing against an undefeated welterweight, add to the fact that Margarito wants it, slap on a 24/7 and you've got a big PPV fight in the making.

he would get much more respect if he faced Margarito and would fight the fight of his life. no back pedalling, no dancing around the ring just toe to toe, i'll punch you and you punch me brawling (or as some would say the true warrior way), and whether he would win or lose. he would get the respect and admiration that he so longs for from the mexican public.
