who was more entertaining Holyfield or Tyson ? Tyson has legions of fans all over the world and he probably has more fans worldwide than Evander Holyfield most casual fans are more of a Mike Tyson fan rather than a Holfield fan but IMO Evander was miles more entertaining dont get me wrong Mike was exciting and entertaining but compared to Evander there is no contest as far as im concerned
Holy v Stewart 1, Cooper ,Bowe 1,+3, Qawi,Moorer 2 ,Tyson 1 ,Mercer ,
i personally think the Mercer fight is overrated not the war people make it out to be IMO
i guess u could say Tyson was more exciting but Holyfield had more entertaining fights sounds stupid but
Holyfield. He fights in a style where he'll break you down in an accumulation of hard clean punches. He wasn't a 1-punch KO guy like Tyson but his style led him to many wars. He would go rounds while Tyson would go for the early KO's, resulting in many fights ending early.
Tyson, he was even entertaining when he got his ass whooped.
thats another reason why Holy was more entertaining he was a more succesfull fighter with a bigger heart and an almost unhuman tollerance for pain
Tyson was all hype Holy was all buisness the guy quit against Mcbride i dont know about u but entertainment for me usually involves a fighter giving his all and bareing his soul to win a fight ,that is not Mike Tyson IMO
Tyson had the aura, the mystiqe, the excitement in terms of KO's. To answer the question accurately though, I'd have to go with Holyfield. Tyson's fights just didn't last long enough for the most part to be truly classified as entertaining.
Tyson was more entertaining to me because either he would knock someone's head off in two rounds, or he'd get KTFO or DQ later in the fight. However, Holyfield was the better overall fighter and his fights with Bowe and win over Tyson showed off his skills and his will.
I guess it boils done to what your looking for..Back & forth action would be Evan. Watching somebody get they ass wooped by a 19 year old kid-Mike.
thats fair enough
i like watching punchers but i also like watching aggresive fighters that cant crack as hard but put preassure on their oponents and throw combos to overwhelm them and when it is done skillfully i appreciate it even more
i guess id put Norris & Holy in the same catergory both were not great punchers but boy did they did put it on you
Tyson gave you the WOW factor. He would crush his oppenents with combos and upper cuts and you watcht hem fall. Holyfield had some fierce battles with Bowe, Foreman and others. you would see Holy get hit and be like OMG I can't belive this guy is still standing.....Toss up for me...i love Tyson I go with the KO and the guys crumbling. If you want to see wars like Holywatch the lighter weight classes you watch the heavys to see KO's...Lefty
what made Holy so special though is the fact he could keep up the same intensity as a middleweight and he was able to comeback when he looked completely done i think Holy is a remarkable man /fighter
if u wanna see Knockouts watch Wladimir Klitshcko
Mike always went for the KO. If Tyson was in a dull fight, it was cuz his opponent made it dull by clinchin like crazy and refusin to fight. Holyfield had more dull moments, but he was excitin as a mothafucka too for the most part.
i think Tyson was just as guilty of holding in some fights he was content to lay their on the inside sometimes rather than work
Holys only dull fights came when he was an old man his first fight with Moorer was a bit lax but that was because he had heart problems etc and his 2nd fight with Stewart was after the Bowe fight in which he lost by going to war so he tried to Box more against Stewart 2nd time around and it was quite dull apart from that he was Mr Excitement all the way
