Joe calzaghe:
speed > jones
power = jones
Style > jones
workrate 10 X > jones
Hopkins pretended he was low blowed becasue he knew calzaghe was just about to knock him out.
It happends all the time
also one of calzaghes most recent fights against manfreddo was unbeliveable. Man freddo was americas next big thing , winning the contender and calzaghe gave him a boxing lesson, connecting with a flurry of savage jabs meaning the ref had to stop it before manfreddo was permantly injured or mabey even dead

Does Joe Calzaghe have the footspeed to be fleetfooted at rugby? Apparently T-97 has a video of him scoring 7000 points in one game, even though he was blindfolded and wearing boxing gloves. He won't send me the tape though.
I thought that youtube clip was gonna be the game where Jonah Lomu destroyed the entire England rugby team by himself.
There used to be a sports quiz show over here, and one week one of the guests was Chris Eubank. The subject of rugby came up and he referred to Jonah Lomu as "a big poof". And then the surprise guest came out...and it was Jonah Lomu. It was pretty funny, Eubank seemed somewhat surprised:D
Can't find a clip of it online though:(
I traded it to boxing_prospect for David Hayes "How to look good" video.
:lol1::lol1:
I pwnd that alt hehe...Jk

Wait, hold on a minute...Manfredo was NEVER the next big thing here. He couldn't even win the contender final. So you're way off base with that one. I don't know anybody who thought Manfredo would even be a challenge for Calzaghe. So you're embellishing that point. And while I don't think Manfrdo had any chance of winning, the stoppage in that fight was fucking awful and there's no getting around that.
Damn, that is some sad ass shit! Thanks for the heads up bro, those little fuckers better stay out of my way:fing02:
If you see someone who has joined recently, has little posts and is posting silly things only about the fighter he is named after and has in the av, It;s probably a wind up.
Do people really make up fake profiles? I am still pretty new to the forums so excuse my naivety. I just figured that the people who make those ridiculous posts were a little bit vacant but if what you say is true then they are indeed just childish virgins who really need to get a life.
Dude it's well known there's load of alt's on this site. People have posted threads on it countless of times, countless of alt's have been caught out, many ppl have their suspicions who some are. There's an alt busters group.
There's definitely most on Calzaghe of late. The names and signatures, things they say make it obvious. They say the exact things which are most ridiculous to ridicule Calzaghe fans, like prime Joe beats prime Roy. It's by design.
it depends on what Roy comes to the ring that night. If its the Roy who fought Trinidad, umm no I dont think Calzaghe will stop him..If its the Roy that fought Tarver in the rematch, and then Glen Johnson, then maybe Calzaghe has a slapper's chance
Blimey, no way. People go on about it no end. More so then they did with Hopkins whom despite not being KO'd (predictable for his style) he is also past prime.
I think people are so hyped and impressed with the old prime Roy Jones, a few KO's, fighting a couple of guys of lower class leads ppl to exaggerate about how different and past prime he is.
If he was a fresh prospect ppl would be singing his praises all day.
To the contrary because Calzaghe has only recently exploded as a mega big name around the world particularly in America, it's equally as easy to think Calzaghe's close to or in prime.
Joe Cazlaghe is no way in his prime. He's lost some of his speed, motivation, power and balance somewhat over the last couple of years or so.
True, I know you know but just don't forgot or give anyone any reasons to believe these are excuses. Jones is way passed his Prime and Calzaghe is just past it. So the fight IMO is fair. Jones still having more speed and power while Calzaghe as always has the advantage of his 100 punches a round which lately give him the wins.
So IMO its a fair fight. I don't see a stoppage, no matter who wins it will go all 12. I don't see either KO'ing the other. But much like the HOP fight, Jones will land the effective power shots while Joe will tag more. But like I have been saying, if Jones brings his legs I don't see him being an easy target (like HOP, even though they weren't flush or clean) to get them POINTS joe will be looking for to win.
Either way it will be a great fight!
yes he will but by TKO you dont need power to overwhelm someone with activity Jones will take a sustained beating
oh so you mean to tell me that an AMERICAN REFEREE will stop the fight when Calzaghe is slapping jones around sort of like what he did to Manfredo? That manfredo stoppage was a disgrace to the sport. Barely any of those slaps landed on him! Dont get me wrong..I dont think that Manfredo wouldve won, but still it was a disgrace to see the ref stop it like he did
Im rooting for Roy Jones but I dont think he can get past Joe Calzaghe and Joe doesnt have a chance to KO Jones.
Jones is a STRONG guy, I know it not may seem like much but he was eating Trinidads shots like candy.
A Joe Calzaghe to me might have a slight bit more strength but no real threat to Jones and being KOed
No, people tend to forget Roy Jones isn't the same fighter he was
Joe is in his prime and on top of his game
Joe will win easy

Exactly. People also forget that Calzaghe himself is very good, easily the most impressive performer from MW - LHW in the last few years. This is a boxer who would have been competitive with Prime Jones, so expecting him to beat todays Roy, even by a TKO, is not ridiculous at all.
agreed. I think that Prime Jones would win a ud over Joe, but now Joe Calzaghe will win by easy ud or like we said a stoppage
either way it will be a good fight... while it lasts lol

Joe wont KO Jones..He simply dont have the power..The only way I see him winning is by slapping his way to a boring decision
Cool. Dude my issue has always been with the generalisation of Calzaghe fans made by some, including you as one. There's lame fans of many fighters, it's only natural there'd be a flood of Calzaghe ones at the moment.
Plus most of the lame so called Calzaghe fans are alts of someone intentionally trying to make more of his fans seem shit. Look at the join dates and names it's as obvious as anything. The people doing it are so childish it's unreal, to think ppl actually think it's funny is just odd. Win the argument on merit not on just doing anything possible to try and make the things you don't like look worse.
Most fans are not like this or believe the ridiculous things some of these fake accounts have been saying, and it's almost as foolish to believe most of them are real accounts and not alts. Red k and report them people, because alt's are pure shitting on this forum which is for on topic, balanced, decent boxing conversation.
Yeah, I never really thought about it, but it makes sense. I really don't understand how people would actually take the time to make another account and "pretend" to be a fan of someone they really hate. That's just DUMB and childish and just proves you cant argue your points. I like to have fun on here and mess with some of the Calzaghe fans but I never really paid attention if they were REAL or ALTS. hmmmm I bet I come across a lot of ALTS which is WHY I joke with them the way I do (because they are just alt idiots). I'll have to pay more attention to that. Good looking out.
