Calzaghe just destroyed Lacy, End Of. Lacy was a victim to his own hype, and he couldn't handle it when he got completely outclassed.

I remember the Lacy hype, how great he would become, how he'd destroy Calzaghe and then Calzaghe owned him! absolutely owned him. He was a good fighter but Calzaghe turned him a good fighter into a bum.

I've been saying that for quite a while now that while physically Lacy is there mentally he must be shot to pieces.. I think the prolong beating JC gave him has done damage.. He would of been better off had he been sparked out early He was humliated that night and so was shaw who was screaming for the guy to ring the bell at the end of the 12th Will see what lacy has got left against Taylor But i reckon Taylor is gonna finish of whats left of Lacy

I can remember nearly everybody and his dog state side didn't give Calzaghe a chance against Lacy ,Most Top respected American boxing reporters didn't give Calzaghe a chance to win against Lacy ! hailed Lacy as the new mini mike Tyson lol What a Loyal bunch they are over there!? they don't call Lacy the new mike Tyson anymore ! no they call him a bum ! But that wouldn't have anything to do with JC !? would it? I had never heard or seen Joe Calzaghe before this fight. When my friend Lexi said she was rooting for Joe Calzaghe, someone on the forum told her to save a picture of Joe Calzaghe, because his face will look different after the fight. The people on the forum were so mean, I was afraid Lexi would leave the forum. Joe Calzaghe won and had no bruises or cuts, he looked the same ! I was so happy for Lexi !

It just occured to me with recent developments turning down if i recall the tarver fight that J.C may well have shortened/ retired Lacy's career. With hindsight does anyone think is corner maybe should have stoped the fight, he certainly doesnt seem to have recovered since? Or do people think Lacy wasnt all they made out to be?I can remember both Frank Warren and Garry Shaw the promoters screaming at Dan Birmingham in Lacy's conner to throw the towel ! It was one of the best displays of one way traffic i have ever seen!
