Ronnie Shields deserves an honorable mention.
Very calm and collected guy with true understanding of boxing.
The man has done wonders with Vanes Martirosyan and Juan Diaz, Rocky Juarez.
That's why the "Other" option is there.
What other only = Enzo? Hardly, come on. It's gona include others so the #1 effectively just isn't in the poll.
Why name four others, but not the most recent actual #1? Polls are very rough at the best of times, couped with some omitted or well placed, worded options and it's worse.
Yes, let's have a poll on the worlds best boxing trainer, and not include the worlds best boxing trainer of 2007. Genuis.

Something along the lines of "You better fucking get inside on his ass now" or something. Goossen doesn't look like the tough SOB type but he has a subtle machismo about the way he conducts himself. He's also very good at staying composed in the corner amidst adversity.
I don't know any of the Goossens, but they have a rep in So Cal for being a tough family. I'm guessing that Joe isn't a guy to mess with.
Sure did, and I remember how Michael Nunn's career fell apart after he dropped him. Goossen will also be remembered for his inspiring Corrales while putting his mouthpiece back in during the first Castillo fight.

Notice how he was on the winning side in the first two fights between Casamayor and Corrales?

My vote would be for Joe Goossen. He usually gets the most out of his fighters.

I almost completely forgot about this guy.
I haven't heard much from him over the past year, but he is an underrated trainer.
Floyd Sr. Hands down. Floyd Sr. is a defensive genius, and i think that's what gives him the edge over the rest of the trainers in the business. Freddie Roach is a very overrated trainer who implements one strategy, come straight forward and overwhelm your opponents. Most of Buddy's fighters have been getting owned, that should speak for itself. Emanuel Stewart is legend, i can't hate on him.
