On espn boxing page they have a poll of who fans wanna see margarito fight next it went in order.
1. floy mayweather
2. oscar dela hoya
3. paul williams
4. cotto
5. mosley
i didnt mean just cause hes undefeated, i meant i just dont see anybody beating him. Hes too smart of a fighter, hell give u one boring match but hell win
Everyone can be beaten, even Mayweather. For 100 or so fights people didn't think Robinson or Willie Pep could be beaten. But then they lost and so went that idea.
No one has beaten Joan Guzman, does that mean it cant happen?
How bout Pawal Wolak, seen it hasn't happened does that mean it cant happen?

Maywether has the best talent boxing has to offer, i would never say this and that can beat mayweather untill i see it.

what does sparring have to do with actual events. who fights today in boxing?,,,,look at base ball today, trade deadline manny to dodgers etc griffey to sox etc...all the games going on. there is alot more things going on a daily bases with baseball than boxing.
There are little things that happen in boxing that aren't reported because of the "Who Cares" rule of reporting. Not enough people care about the lesser fighters to make it to the news. In baseball where all the teams and players get mainstream coverage, you can report almost anything that happens.
Now take it to boxing, where there are so many fighters around the world, yet only a handful make it to ESPN, and not too many more are getting boxing coverage from the boxing sites.
If boxing prospects were covered like basketball prospects, then the coverage would be equal.
I disagree, ESPN's boxing coverage is among the best in the sport. Dan Rafael, Thomas Hauser, Ron Borges, Tim Smith, Graham Houston, those are some top notch pundits if you ask me.
Im glad you mentioned this. ESPN.com has very good coverage and top notch articles and historical reviews.:biggthump
Incorrect on that one, there are a lot of things that happen daily in boxing. Everyday boxers are in the gym sparring and working out, preparing for big fights. Boxing just doesn't get the same love as baseball because of baseball is publicized and marketed much better.

The only time boxing is covered is during WNF and FNF. Besides that, you RARELY hear shit about boxing. I dont think I've ever seen a boxing segment on Sportscenter. It's always baseball, football, nascar, tennis, soccer. Rinse and repeat.
well espn covers all sports and theres more things that happen on a daily bases with baseball than boxing, but i think they cover boxing pretty well not as good as boxingscene.com but thats because its all about boxing.

You're talking about TV, I'm talking about their site.

ESPN barely covers boxing. Fuck ESPN.

Fans also picked Dale Ernhart Jr. over Chuck Liddell as a "better athlete".
What's your point?
Dale Earnhardt Jr. isn't even the best driver in NASCAR.
I love Margarito but Mayweather would win a UD over Marg. He would stick and run all night long, pot shotting Marg and moving all night long.
Now that Marg has beaten Floyd, watch him all of a sudden come out of retirement and want that fight, I wouldn't doubt it.
Floyd is scared of Cotto because Cotto can move and hit. Cotto can't beat Marg, Marg can't beat Floyd and Floyd can't beat Cotto....
