Its True Margarito is Good not Great

All of the welterweight fighters are overrated. THey have all lost to eachother which means they all suck and none of them are great. Even though the WW division is the most talented and exciting right now, it is just filled with overrated boxers. Is that what youre getting at? :) Hagler lost to leonard, Leonard lost to Duran, Duran got fucked by Hearns, Hearns lost to Hagler. Those were all great fighters who lost to each other

Let's state the facts. I agree. "Im not fighting to prove to the fans who's the best". But suit yourself. Some kids are brought up by their parents to admire cowards and ducks. Boxing skill wise he is not one of the greatest. But will and heart wise, it is hard for me to remember someone like him. Even against PW he kept on coming. Got hit with good shots and kept going. Santos rocked him, and he stayed right there and came right back. The dude's immense heart, will, and chin is great but his skill isnt. But if skill was everything Zab would be awesome, Camacho Jr. would be great, and others would be also. In sports you may see a weak link on a team, but if you surround that weak link with great players it raises the game of that player. Same with Margs. The amount of INTANGIBLES brings up any weak link there may be, to average or above average. WILL is definately something Margarito has. He has the Will to win and the size to go with it. He is above average on everything he has Great Will and A Great Size advantage but that doesn't mean he is a great boxer.

Lets be honest. Cotto had and might still have a chance to be great. Margarito is a oversized welterweight with limited boxing skills. What he lacks in skill he makes up with in work rate and his chin. He can wear you down but if you box him he will be beat. Margarito's last two losses have come against PWill and Santos. Pwill is Margarito's size and Santos. Don't get to emotionally attached TO mARGARITO he is a good fighter but definately not in the class of FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. at 147 margarito is a beast. at 154 he's average. at 160 he gets beat like a mule.

My problem with Idiot Fake FLoyd fans is that they think p4p is given to cowards and ducks. Lets state the facts. FLoyd is the best boxer we have had in the last 10 years. FLoyd went up in weight to fight. Give him his props. Hatton, DLH made more dollars and sense for FLoyd stop hating.

My problem with the Nuthuggers that think Margarito is the second coming of Chavez Jr. Again Margarito's chin is second to none in the welterweight division. That doesn't mean he is a top 10 P4P.

Has anyone called Margarito great? Holy shit, Im glad I missed that! He is of average talent, above average punching power, below average speed, but he may have the best chin in boxing, great conditioning, and he never, ever stops pushing the fight. If he didnt have his great chin, Cotto would have stopped him. Cotto bombed him with everything for 6 rounds and couldnt move him. But great? Getting outboxed by feather fisted Williams? Great getting taken to school for 6 rounds by Cotto? No. Margarito is like that episode where Homer Simpson boxes. All he has to do is let the other guy hit him so much that they cant even lift there arms anymore, and then he just hudges them over!!!!

He's never lost to someone smaller then him.. all his losses have come by men his size. Yes, Mayweather is better.. but sometimes who has the better skill doesn't always win.. Last saturday proved this. After watching that shit.. I'm not so sure how the Mayweather v. Margarito fight would play out. Before that I was positive Mayweather would put on a clinic. Yeah that is what I have been saying for a while. Judah has been more talented then everyone dude still has 5 losses(though a low mental capacity). Taylor is more talented then Pavlik. Tyson more talented then Douglas. Taylor more talented then Chavez. Mosley more talented then Forrest. This is why we have to see it to believe it. Fights don't always go the way you expect.

NO my man. I appreciate fighters fighting tough opponents. I am just sick of everybody repeating over and over that Margarito is better than Sugar Shane or Floyd Mayweather. And there reasoning behind it is because neither Shane or Floyd wanted to fight him. He has 5 losses and until his fight Saturday no fan base. Ok Margarito may not be a better "boxer" than those two but he is a greater "fighter" he has the balls to stand in the middle of the ring and go toe to toe. Floyd's style of fighting is like a little bitch, let me elaborate hit twice back off and run and when hurt give your back to the opponent. If he faces Margarito he better work on his stamina so he could run all night. Shane vs Margarito would be a way better matchup, but I would have to give it to Margarito cause of his stamina. Now on his five losses do your homework right the first three where when he was 15 yrs old and fought with people on there prime (meaning around 28-31 yrs of aged). The 4th one was stop cause of a cut on his right eye. The one with Williams is because he started late (his mistake, his own fault) but he whopped his ass in the last round on a rematch Tony would do a better job. Now on the fan base the you see how many ppl went to see him against Cotto.

everytime someone discredits Margarito is also discrediting Cotto cause he beat him, carry on. That's what the Mayweather fans are trying to do to make thier fighter look better.. the fact is, Mayweather didn't face either one of them so we don't know how he matches up against them or if he wins or not. This doesn't prove shit.. Mayorga beat Vernon who beat Mosley who beat De La Hoya.. that doesn't mean Mayorga was gonna beat Oscar. And I can guarantee you Mosley will win the fight against Mayorga.

Personnaly I am not a fan of Margarito, but I appreciate his performance. He beat a very game opponent.. A more talented, skilled, and versatile fighter. He deserves the credit. All the top WW are worth a look. Particularly Cotto, Marg and PW.

Its true he is good not great. He has no defensive skills any fighter that goes in the ring with him will know that they will gets lots of punches against him. He has a great chin and the heart of a warrior but the skills of an decent boxer.
