Congrats on Tony and his win, and for the people who made bets with me....
Post here, cause I don't feel like searching around so yea..
As for the fight.
Congrats to Tony Margarito. He fought a good fight and was the better man. His pressure was to much for Cotto. Cotto would land some good shots, but Tony just walked through it. I wasn't surprised, but I thought Cotto would go to the body more, but infact didn't.. I was getting frustrated just watching him headhunt. I personally said to myself, "If Cotto continues to fight like this, he will tire out, and he did, and Tony started to land some vicious shots, along with his own body shots, something Cotto neglected.
Cotto didn't throw any body shots, because it would've only made him prone to uppercuts or hooks from Tony, so that's why I thought he didn't throw any at all, but Boxing is about taking risks. Cotto would look good here and there hitting Tony and making him miss, but just couldn't keep it up. Im just curious though, what was the official weight after the weigh in?
Cotto surprised me also, taking so much punishment, and still got up. Thanks to Evanalista Cotto who stopped the fight on the right time, because the KO could've been even worse.
Now it gets interesting. Whats next for Cotto? This loss will probaly help him, or infact ruin him. Sometimes you have to lose to win. I personally think that Cotto should'nt fight Tony again. The man is a beast and takes alot of punches, not that I didn't know, but he wasn't even hurt one time in the fight. Head popped back, but that's about it. Tony's pressure just overwelhemed Miguel COtto and got him throwing the headshots, to keep Tony off of him. No bodyshots.
I really want to see Tony Vs Floyd, I just want to see what would happen in that fight.
Once again... Im happy for Tony Margarito.. He looked so happy after they stopped the fight, congrats to him, he got robbed several times in his career, but this win just formated those 5 losses IMO.
Losses mean nothing, you learn when you lose and you better yourself, hopefully Miguel Cotto prospers and learns from this loss.
Im just curious too see who both will fight. I want the opponents to be named already!!
"Its Miguel Cotto's fault that he lost, the well known body puncher through no bodyshots whatsoever in the biggest bout of his career"
