Cotto would destroy the Englishman, sadly. Hatton is awful when he steps up to welterweight.
When Hatton fought and destroyed the great Tszyu I felt that he could go on to become one of the greatest fighters of all time.
However, he did not look after himself enough and ate the wrong stuff.
I like the man because of all he does for African charities, and he is a good boxer as he has been a World Champion for years and years, but he will never be one of the best British fighters of all time.
By the way, I feel that the referee was absolutely fair towards Ricky when he fought Mayweather.
You guys are writing off Shitman Fatton too easily on this one.
Motherfuckers are making it seem like I said, Pacquiao/Cotto.
Cotto is bigger than Hatton, but not that much bigger.
Hard luck on the Bledisloe mate, them cheating Aussies denied you a clear penalty try.
Thanks. They have the better team currently but the AB's gave as good as they got for the most part. We'll get them next week.
Yeah, NZ at home are a different story, should be a good game.
Oh, and I forgot to mention previously that I think Cotto would beat Hatton at either 140 or 147. UD at 140, KO at 147. It's a fight I would love to see but I don't think Hatton will take too many risks as he winds his career down and Cotto is a risky opponent for anyone at those weights.
I think Hatton might surprise, he seemed ready to take on De La Hoya at 147 so why not Cotto at 140. I think Cotto would win too.
I don't know about the Aussies not giving him his due because of the Kostya fight but I do agree that Hatton is still the man to beat at 140.

yet hatton is fighting naggi...cotto has all puerto rico on his back..
good point, if Cotto wants it, it could happen then, but I expect it would be at 140
I think Cotto beats Hatton because he's too big/strong, a natural 147. I don't think Cotto brings much cash to the table for Hatton who wants megafights.
That said, I'd enjoy the fight and wouldn't rule out a Hatton win at 140.

that said, the first two rounds would be a war, Ricky could get a knockout
It would be amazing to watch.
Ricky would have to let fly with the shot that got Castillo. Slim chance very very slim.
How could they defend the beating that Barrera gave to Naseem.Lewis was robbed in the first Holyfield fight but it was a draw so it wasn't that bad.Hatton was knocked out so this discussion shouldn't even take place and as a boxer or a commentator they should know when they see a KO victory and an all around beating.I seen the fight on a stream and it was on the Sentana sports network, the commentatorts on there said Hatton was just outclassed by the better fighter and in the end there is no excuse. Why can't you be more like them?
British boxing commentators/boxers aren't biased, we created most sports we're all about fair play and we know an injustice when we see one. Setanta is Irish.
Cotto had those first five rounds againt Marg against Ricky. TKO3
I like Ricky but he is too big for and just vastly superior.
that said, the first two rounds would be a war, Ricky could get a knockout
WOW you sound like a Mayweather fan.Just admit that Hatton would be destroyed by Cotto and you don't want the fight to happen.

Size has nothing to fuckin do with this. Cotto looked at his peak tonight. He looked FAST and accurate as hell. I was very impressed.
If the Cotto that fought Margarito shows up to fight Hatton........ Hatton gets KOd in under 3 rounds. Trust me.
Are you serious? Every single one of those people you named are BRITISH.Of course they are going to defend one of their countrymens loss with a bullshit excuse:bottle:
they didn't defend Frank Bruno, Lennox Lewis when he lost, Naseem Hamed and many more
there was genuine injustice on this one.
Yeah, I think Cotto would take out Hatton in the first 4 rounds, if Cotto hasn't completely lost it. I'm a big fan of Hatton, but I think Cotto is just too much for him.
Expect to hear Cotto's name come out of Hattons mouth more often now, but its still a fight he could never win
I'm not sure Cotto brings enough money to the table
Why can't you respond to what I said then?Apparently they werent that well thought out.Try thinking of some better excuses.I have one for you."There wasn't enough padding on the turnbuckle to support Ricky's head from the impact"That is basically what you are saying with all your excuses. It is sad that you can't acknowledge Hattons loss so you take it out on Mayweather.
You make it sound like I'm the only one who thinks that he was screwed over,
Hatton himself says he was set up, Lennox Lewis, David Haye, Barry McGuigan, the list goes on and on. The ref fkd him.
Hatton was dirty in that fight:bottle: ask any sensible poster and he will tell you that.
That was all about mayweather influencing the ref, he knew he was going to be beaten at close quarters
Why havent you responded to my post about your excuses?
The funny thing is, you know all of them are true and so do most boxing commentators, its only mayweather dickriders who deny them
I know that,as the guy said "the ref will play a roll in the fight" but they are already suggesting foul play before the fight has even hapend.
thats not a suggestion of foul play
FLOYD SUGGESTED FOUL PLAY BY SAYING HATTON WAS A DIRTY FIGHTER
THATS THE WHOLE REASON FOR THE ARTICLE!!
This has to be the saddest attempt to excuse the victory of a fighter:bottle:
Webbler shouldn't even watch boxing if he can dismiss a dominant performance like that.
pleas, one fighter wasn't allowed to fight, it was 2 against 1
compare with Calzaghe/Hopkin where he allowed inside fighting all night (again to the British fighter's detriment)
