Lets give Cotto the respect he deserves

He is a warrior. He fought hard and he was undefeated. He was a valiant opponent who gave it all. He was just the lesser man tonight and came up short. No shame in losing to the Tijuana Tornado. He is the most feared man in boxing for a reason I thought Cotto fought a bit too safe/scared tonight. He shoulda been more offensive. STill I always thought Marg was the tougher guy and figured he would beat Cotto.

I've always known Cotto was highly overrated. I'd say even Fernando Vargas was a better fighter than him. Did you see the punishment he was taking in the 7th round??? I thought it was all over, to come back out for 3 more rounds was almost unbelieveable. Cotto landed huge shots the entire fight and Margarito barely flinched. Margarito lands a decent punch every once in a while and Cotto gets all dazed. Cotto's chin = fragile glass.

I hope no one comes here saying that he quit because he looked like he could have been knocked out several times from the 7th round on. Instead, he threw landing flurries in retaliation every time and just ran into a man who could not be hurt. The fact that he got up from the first KD deserved props, he might have saved his career by taking that second knee.

I think Cotto will get another belt, he was just beaten by the better man tonight.

Margarito has a good chin. Cotto did all he can to win the fight but just came up short. As far as being the most feared in boxing. Well Paul Williams beats him and Cotto just faced him. And if he fighs in Dela Hoya's finally, then his not the most feared fighter. Respect Margarito.
