Where do Marg/Cotto go from here....

It will hurt Marg more because he's older, already has 5 loses and will not benefit from fighting any of the top contenders. Cotto willbe able to bounce back because he would only have one defeat and is younger than Marg and still has time to recover from the loss. I think if Marg wins, Cotto will demand and get a rematch, where if Marg loses, unless it's a close fight like let's say JMM and Pac, he won't get another shot.

Who will the defeat hurt more? Im thinking Marg cuz of the williams defeat and this will be yet another setback or if Cotto gets beat will he be the same after that? Fuck knows and who knows but time will tell i think Margs career is in a lot more jeopardy here than Cottos. As a matter of fact i think this fight is bigger for Marg than Cotto because if he wins......hes damn near known as the WW Champ.....then he'll probably go after Berto, or maybe PW rematch. If he loses......he's already a pretty avoided fighter so with no belts and the PW and Cotto loses he'll have a very hard road getting back into contention.....might become a glorified journeyman which i'd hate to see With Cotto......if he wins he's going after Berto or PW cuz i doubt De La Hoyas gonna give him a shot. If he loses his careers not that hurt cuz it'll only be his first lose and its to Margarito.......shit if the fights good enough they might just do a rematch

Ok guys....fights tomorrow night and im looking for some educated guesses here........i'll be revisiting this thread to see who was right. If Margarito loses this fight where does he go from here??? With losses to PWILL and Cotto he will be back at the end of the line not to mention fighters don't want to fight him anyway. If He loses he should try to fight PWILL under any circumstances. If Cotto loses that would be devastating. He would probably get a rematch with Margarito cuz that would make the most $ for Tony. He would than have a 0% shot at BIG MONEY DLH.

If Margarito loses in many peoples eyes he will be on journeyman status. If Cotto loses it won't hurt as much 1 or 2 fights and he back at the top fighting whoever is the so called man in the division. If Margarito wins I say he should fight Paul Williams If Cotto wins he should fight Paul Williams. Regardless of the outcome Cotto will have more options than Margarito.

This is Margaritos only shot, if he loses its over. If Cotto loses he has to make up with a couple good fights and then has to avenge that loss in a rematch
