personally,i don't see it.he's beaten prince ajamu, hanshawand a blown up welterweight in tito who hadn't fought in three years]sorry i just don't see it happening.roy has always had trouble with southpaws.personally i hope to see joe fight the winner of the tarver dawson match after this
cool i got ya... mine isnt too hard to figure out
Yeah, mine's not either. Considering I have it listed as public on this website. I don't remember doing that. Then I sent you a private message, because I'm so smart.
elaborate on that
Meaning, the hungrier man will win, like Tarver was. He had Roy's number for all 3 fights.
haha, hey its going to be a good fight cause Jones is not prime.
roy is finished, he in this fight for the money, roy jones gave up years ago,
accepting and celebrating a big defeat shows me roy was done 3 years ago
Jones is Calzaghe's Tarver
for or against roy... those are all good posts and opinions... the biggest thing, which is why its hard to call this fight.. because we REALLY dont know what roy has left... and I think this fight is completely based on what exactly he is still capable of...
Roy Jones quilt cover havin' ass muhfugga.
Against ANY other fighter I would not suggest Roy go to the ropes, but I think with the wide shots Joe throws Roy could land some serious leather in between those punches. Im not saying stay there the whole fight but he can do some damage off the ropes.
roys got a great chance because he can slip punches and works good from the outside. he still has superhuman handspeed and can catch joe c with straight rights and work off the ropes. the only thing i see that troubles roy is how he is going to deal with pressure from joe. i cant wait to go see it at msg
Yeah, Joe does throw some wide ass shots. We'll see. I mean, we all know Roy is going to go to the ropes, that's just what he does. I'm hoping a few well placed counter uppercuts can put Joe on his ass. I just don't think Roy has the speed to throw and move against the ropes and corner like he used to. Like I said, we'll see though.

I agree mostly. Aside from the luring Calzaghe to the ropes. I don't think that's such a good idea at this point in Roy's career. He just doesn't have the head movement or foot speed to counter Calzaghe and roll out of the corner like he used to. It would just be Calzaghe building points by pinning Roy in a corner and doing the E. Honda 1000 slaps.
He needs to keep it in the middle of the ring and keep Calzaghe at bay with a stiff jab. And when Calzaghe tries to come in with anything, counter punch and move away. Counter punch and move away. He might have enough power to trade and hurt Calzaghe, but I dought he'll take that risk.

Unfortunately you are WRONG.
I talk about many fighters.
BUT you are Roy's queen of cock fighting.
And you seriously need to lose the wigga frontage.
Rims & Grills just don't work on a middle class boy.:luvbed:
oh wow.. u got me?! however will i come back from that? idiot.
u dont discuss ANYTHING but roy... if you do then its 10:1 on roy
i gaurantee u come on to this website and do a search for roy, and then continue to reply to every pro roy post and input your hate on it... whats the point?
your the biggest broken record on this site
"roys shot"
"he hasnt done anything"
"He doesnt deserve a shot"
blah blah blah... WE VE HEARD IT ALREADY! uve said it a 1000 times... why do you keep repeating yourself?
nobody likes you here... get the fuckin clue.
dude im a biiig fan of jones...i think his talent is better tahn anyones in the history of boxing and i wouldnt pick anyone to beat him p4p in his prime....but hes not in his prime, jones has always been inconsitent in the ring, but his legs speed and power bought him lots of time...he doesnt have that anymore, he's easy pickings.....
dammit......i was just about to ask what u charge for sigs
then i saw the infamous red letters
Hilarious stuff.
Keep it coming.
pound for pound worst poster on this forum...
ever try discussing a different a fighter?
100% hate for roy, every thread, every post, every sentence about roy, you have to bash... nobody likes people like you.
If you think Calzaghe will KO china chinned roy, your just an idiot.
If you think Roy can KO Joe you are almost an idiot, I doubt we will see any kind of KO. Maybe a FLASH KD but no KO.
I could almost guarantee you that Jones will call Joe to the ropes just like he did Tito and work joes body. Jones I bet wants to go to the ropes and work joe and look good doing it. Joe will look a fool with his million wild "punches" against them ropes, even though he may score more pts.
Joe will look pitiful against the faster and stronger Jones, if they were to go toe to toe punch for punch
I think the winner will win by a SD
Like my sig says. "IF" Jones beings his legs, Calzaghe will not win.
I don't really feel like going into details. But I give Joe some credit and say its a 50/50 chance for both to win this fight.
IMO a SHOT, POS, OLD, UN-PRIMED, WORTHLESS and what ever everyone else calls Roy has a 50% chance of beating Joe. A prime roy would take joe to school. EASY!
So the Jones of today makes this a good fight because of how far he is from being prime. Everyone says that the Jones fans compare him to the 90's well i'm not. I'm basing everything off the TITO fight and what i have seen from his training lately.
Jones is the hungry man and he wants back on top of the hill.

Apparently you were asking a different question than I answered. It says how is he supposed to win not will he. I definitely dont think Roy will win, but his game plan should be quick combos through Calzaghes wider punches, and to lure Calzaghe into the ropes. Roys uppercuts while laying on the ropes WILL be effective in the fight. I say Calzaghe either SD or close UD
