Why are HBO PPV's never in HD?

I want to order this fight card, but why the hell is HBO PPV never in HD? I have a 120" screen and an outstanding HD projector. If I'm going to pay over $50 for basically ONE fight then I want to see it in 1080p, not 480i. Honestly, I probably won't even order this fight. HBO needs to step their game up, for real. You do realize that there are usually two separate channels where you can buy the PPV, right? One HD and one regular -- and they're not anywhere near each other on the listings (I have DirectTV, and they're like 200 channels apart). I've been watching HBO PPVs in high def for quite some time now. Oh, and if you're not ordering this fight (which is about the biggest that can be made in the sport right now) just cuz you can't get it in HD, then you're not a real boxing fan anyway.

How do you get it in HD? I bought a 42' TV yesterday and i got the HD box and everything. I got it all hooked up. I checked the PPV schedule and it just says Cotto-Margarito and doesnt say whether or not it will be HD. I have comcast digital cable. Do i call comcast? Will it automatically be hd when i order it? I have Direct TV and HD for PPV's is almost always an option for an extra $10. It definitely is for Saturday. I have the same problem. I'm leaving DirectTV soon because of it.

you have to pay extra? HBO PPV HD doesnt cost more here in South Florida (with Comcast) Yeah it's the same price here too.....

Ditto.....I always watch in HD too whether it be PPV, BAD or WCB. Showtime is in HD as well. Yeah , me too man. Even the regular HBO/SHOwtime cards have a seperate high def channel.

yeah they do come in HD buddy... i think your watchin the wrong ppv channel.. what service do you have?

i have an hd ppv channel that i use and the hbo events are ppv hd on it. i have optimum cable
