Vanes, any discussion about Martirosian against John Duddy? I think Duddy's tailor made for Martirosian and would be a good victory...
how old is Duddy?? and what is his record?
Mora is not going to have that title belt for long so Vanes needs to jump on the opportunity while it is here. I personally can't see the fight happening becuase Vanes is a big threat and is a guy that Mora doesn't have to fight becuase he does not have that drawing power. Forrest will beat Mora in the rematch anyway and thats going to be Mora's next fight IMO. Vanes will have problems with the other champions like Santos, Dinzurik ect becuase he is still green and has those technical flaws.
I agree with you as well... but Vanes is making great progress with Ronnie Shields training in Houston.
Next year for sure he should get his title shot.. now its time to climb into Top 10 status for all major belts.

I couldn't see that happening, Forrest's camp has already said they're serious about enforcing the rematch clause. To go against that plus Sergio Martinez who has fought two mandatory fights to get the number one ranking, not even the WBC would do that. Those are two fights he very may well lose.
I'd definitely be interested in seeing Vanes matched up against one of young prospects named earlier like Kirkland or Angulo, it would really answer a lot of questions as to who is the future of the division. The division is wide open right now.
I definitely agree... Jr. Middle is wide open enough for one of these prospects to really shine and unify all belts in the next year or two.
in case he takes the bate now and maybe fights him... although i know thats tough given his mandatories.
other than that.. i guess just to prove that Vanes is willing to fight the best at Jr. Middle and go against the champs.

Why call out Mora when you don't even think Mora will have the belts after his next two fights? It kind of defeats the purpose.

Angulo, Kirkland and Maybe Greene will all beat Vanes. Who is a top notch prospect in his own right.
How do you come to that conclusion??
Vanes is just as capable of beating all three of those guys.
Do you mean the Margarito who is considered one of the strongest and best fighters in the world?
Listen, Mora has shown CLEAR improvement. And the Forrest fight showed that he can deal with a formidable fighter for 12 rounds. even a diminished version of VF.
I just don't know that the Armenian is ready for all that Mora has.
come on now.. Mora doesn't have "all" that.
I know it will be a big step up for Vanes, but he is definitely ready for it... he wouldn't even think twice about fightin him had Mora not gotten that belt.

Nice to see you back VanesBoxing. Haven't seen one of your posts in a while. I doubt this fight will happen.
Bob Arum needs to make this happen!
Get Vanes that WBC 154 pound belt once he gets that he will become a bigger name and get more money and better fighters or start making some title defenses till someone credible comes along.
ya... its the best time for Vanes to get it... before some tough true champion takes it from Mora and is more unreachable for Vanes at the moment.
ptt...sergio doesnt have time for small fry....maybe at 160 in the future....after mora beats forrest and martinez...and vanes fights a real test...
im not so sure he will beat Forrest a 2nd time around...
he fought the fight of his life and barely pulled through
