Floyd didn't commit to his punches when he fought De La Hoya, because he wasn't wearing gloves he was comfortable wearing.
Oscar forced him to wear Cleto Reyes gloves.
I didnt realize that, I know Floyd usually wears Grant's

Lets take a look at how good PBF's KO Power.
Out of 39-0 record, hes KO'd 25 opponents. That's 64 % of his opponents didn't make it to that final bell. Since leaving 130, Floyd's record has been: 12-0 with 5 KO's. When Floyd was at 130, he packed alot of Power into his Punch by KO'ing 20 of his 26 opponents. At 135, Floyd KO'd 1 of his 4 Opponents (didnt seem like Floyd could punch too hard at 135). At 140, Floyd KO'd 2 out of 3 opponents. At 147, he's KO'd 2 out of 4. And at 154, he SD ODLH. Floyd does have power.Thank you sir you cleared that up, what's next?
per Oscar De La Hoya.
Do you believe him?

I wonder if he thinks 2lbs. has power the way he cut Oscar up and he is regarded as having no power, I think Oscar is just bitter that he didn't get a chance to redeem himself in the second fight...to bad and oh well.:cool2:
Oscar would say that considering he's been in the ring with mosley, trinidad, mayorga, B-hop and other naturally bigger guys than floyd. so in comparison he has no power, but ask a normal welter or a L.welter if he has power and they will tell you a different story. He isnt a knockout master and his main attribute isn't his power but he has enough to cause damage, if he didnt have power he wouldn't have been able to even knock down hatton let alone TKO him, even if hatton was off balance
well he was pretty honest in the book about alot of shit. like he lost to sturm, was unprepared in that fight, taked about how he was a a serious gambler, how his family was very unloving, and about alot of personal shit etc....open about alot of shit, and i would say maybe he exagerrated a bit, but overall i would say he is telling the truth. he came clean on alot of shit so i can't see him lying aboutthis, maybe over-dramitizing though.
Gambling addiction? Family drama?
I'm getting the book. For sure.
Thanks man, no one else has really talked about his book on here.
Well oscar was the one in the ring with him so i would have to believe him, Oscar has taken punches from Middleweights before so Mayweather's power wouldnt seem too hard to him.
Someone like Hatton who was coming up from 140 wouldnt necessarily feel the same way.
good post ray. agreed
