This was and still "is" my favourite fight, everyone has their own opinion but De La hoya did flawlessly against Mosley, throwing sharp crips jabs, althouh mosley, did land some good right hands, de la hoya always managed to clutch when being absorbed in a mosley trade-off. It was a brilliant executed plan by De La Hoya throwing an approx of 35 jabs per round and outlanding mosley from the 1st throguh the 12th.
It was an obvious win and a very good performance on Mayweather Sr's part.
It was a very contreversial win, obviosuly boxing is a business and politics, with greenback laundering promoters, if mosley never got this decision, the casino wouldn't have gotten a bigger purse.
Mosley-DeLaHoya 1 = 115-114 - Mosley
Mosley DeLaHoya 2 = 117-111 - DLH

your thoughts on this fight?:boxing:
Oscar clearly won the 2nd fight. almost as big a steal as the trinidad fight. although oscar got his share of controversial decisions wins of his own so eh it doesnt really bother me that much that oscar was robbed. obviously though boxing would be so much better if scored right everytime but thats never gonna happen
i RE WATCHED IT with the sound off and had SSM winning, I originall y had Dela.
Dela threw pitty patter shots.SSM's were the bigger shots.. with no sound and the crowd ooohing ang awwwing and with out HBO riding Dela's junk.. it was clear that SSM won the fight. I recommend everyone else doing the same..
I think thats why those closest to ring side had SSM winning..
i didntt try it with the sound off, but watch de la hoya's jabs thats what made him win.
I might be one of those small majority who scored it for Shane(115-113). It's been a while since I've seen it though.
I thought he beat Whitaker and Quartey though.
Apperntly. Most people at ringside scored it for Mosley, while most watching it on TV scored it for Oscar :dunno:
I had it for Oscar by a fair margin as well..
well its one time oscar got the bad end of a decision. but he definetly lost against sturm. and most would say he lost to whitaker and quartay.
I thought De La Hoya won the second fight with Mosley. Sure he lost to Sturm but Oscar beat Whitaker and Quartey.
