Is Calzaghe a 2 division Champion?

if it wasn't for all those alphabet straps it would be clear that Joe is a 2 division champ....the alphabet straps be confusing people......Just close your eyes and imagine one belt.....one belt....it belongs to Roy Jones Jr. who gets KTFO in the 2nd round by Antonio Tarver......then Tarver loses the belt to Glenn Johnson only to regain it in a rematch.....Tarver never lost another fight until he faced B-Hop.....and if you wasn't somewhere on Mars lookin for life...then you should know what happened on April 19th in Las Vegas this year......I hope I cleared it up for you man.... Yeah its clear. Im just trying to get the opinion of other members regarding this matter. actually i expect 100% yes vote for this poll :(

Well he beat the best LHW (supposedly) so who can deny him the two weight champ title? Now, unified champ at two weights is something else.

ONly a champ at 168 The ring belt means nothing really, just a magazine toy, IMO he lost the fight against B-hop. He beat Eubank Clearly to win the 168 belt but really that split discision win ova b-hop for his ring belt is really nothing. if he wins a belt in a sanction( WBC,WBO etc..) then he will be a champ at 175 For now IMO just a legit champ at 168. Firstly, Your opinion on who won a fight does not matter. Joe Calzaghe was awarded the win against Hopkins and thats how it will go down in the record books. A lot of people think Oscar beat Floyd (not me btw) so does that mean we should not think of Floyd as a champ at 154lbs, of course it doesn't. In todays world of corrupt sanctioning bodies the ring belt stands out from the rest; it follows the true lineage of a division and in recieving it Calzaghe became the real champ at LHW. the ring belt is less important than the alphabelt belts. you have no mandatory defenses and never have to face a true threat, much less a live body in your own division. prime examples of abusers: hopkins (and im a big hopkins fan. dont get me wrong, but the guy never faced a light heavyweight after tarver for 2 years and held that ring title hostage). casamayor- should have lost to jose armando santa cruz. didnt give cambell a rematch even though he is clearly the best challenger. at least he decided to fight jmm instead of juan diaz- boy would that have been unjust to campbell if he had fought the baby bull. floyd- well... i think we all know this story. He holds the Ring belt for the two divisions so he is. The only one that could even be questionable is LHW but he beat the man there so he is.
