why is that, the WW is the hot division right now,
is builiding up just like the 70's and 80's
it can't be just money issues,
is he running away from cotto, margarito again;
why move-up ?
Both Williams and Cotto (and even Margarito) are potential Arum cash cows. If, as expected, Cotto beats Margarito, the logical fight would be Williams - Cotto and the potential loss of one cash-cow. They are just keeping them apart so they can make most money. Clearly they also feel that Williams can compete at higher weights, or want us to believe he can. How about a future scenario where Pavlik is champ at 168, Williams at 160 or 154 and Cotto at 147. Very nice for Arum I would imagine.
I'm just confused why he is skipping 154 altogether.
I mean, he could unify the division in 4 fights there probably.
Let his body get stronger at that weight, and then move up to middleweight.
UMMMM cause whoever wins between Cotto and Margarito probably will be fighting Oscar in Dec for the big money. Floyd is retired, Zab and Clottey are tied up, and Shane Mosley won't fight Williams. So why not move up and fight a fighter with a name??? Nobody at WW wants to fight "The Punisher"!
sometimes starving yourself can get a lil old
Exactly after a while fatigue sets in quicker. Burning muscle doesnt leave you feeling like a champ most of the time until the final day when you can eat up like you normally should .
