Agreed. That's what I find irritating about some of his fans. I respect Margarito as a fighter and champion. I have no respect for his fans who say he beat Paul Williams, make excuses, or lie and say he was only 15 when he was in his early 20's. It's pathetic really.
That's after the countdown... before the videos and animated gifs of the Santos fight, at least one of them said that Margarito "had never been hurt".
True story.
Nope. That was in 1999, Tony was born in 1978. He was 21. I don't hold that, or any of his early losses against him. But don't lie about it..

Early career KO or KDs don't mean much. Sometimes theres a story about it. Look at Manny. First 2 losses by KO and look where he's at now. Only the true haters bring those back up to make themselves feel better of all that he's accomplished which bothers them. Now I'm going with Cotto on this one but I wouldn't hold anything against Marg for his KDs early in his career as they have nothing to do with where he's at now or the kind of fighter he is now. There's just no comparison and if you still try to, you obviously don't know boxing.

Let the truth be told.
yeah and roy jones jr getting knocked down in the same fashion early in his career really shows how good roy jones jr is as well
I wouldn't say the Del Valle knockdown was early in his career, he was already a three-division champ and a ten year pro and was unifying the belts at 175.
Ouch. That actually looks like a pretty damn hard knock down. I'm surprised he got up that easy. His eyes looked reasonably clear also. Tough bastard.
Did he lose that fight? If he won then the knock down matters not a jot.
No, he won a split decision.
So you must also be into snuff films, watching a poor 15 year old kid getting KD by an adult, shame on you sick fuck.
If that is the Danny Perez first fight like I believe it is, that would place him at 21 years of age, about six years older than people are saying he was. If he wasn't at his prime, OK fine, but don't lie about his age.
in his defense the guy was only 16 years old there!
Margarita is like Pacquiao they had no real amatuer career at all and learned to fight basically on there own as they went.
so what he been knocked down and tko before when he was just a boy? arguello and pacquiao been knocked out early in their career does that mean they suck.
For...the...last...time.....HE....WAS....21
and like a true warrior margarito gets up. he also did not lose that fight. if you had ever actually watched the fight you would know that margarito was not hurt. it was a flash knockdown. educate yourself.
Like Cotto also has done. Since he has move to the 147 pounds he has been down or put in bad shape? no right? So the same goes for both guys. Its incredible that some people in here praise margarito for being down and get up and beat the guy but when it comes to Cotto they only talk about the negative part only what a BS people. To me the two of them deserve credit for did what they have done. Im a Cotto fan and i recognize that some of the Marg loses where when he was so young and inmature as a boxer, but also i recognize that Cotto some falls or bad moments where because he was weight drained in 140. I am not a BS guy i recognize the truth and a praise a person who deserve it. I think that the two of them are in his best shape, so who ever loss they are not excuses. I still think that Cotto is going to win but that doesnt mean that marg cant win because i know that he has some skills to pull it out. Its very close to fight night so the show its very near. Hope that this fight is pack with a lot of action. I prefer a 12 round ruthless battle.
The PS TRIPLE!!!
LMAO! And LMFAO at that thread :rofl:
Haven't you seen his pic? He looks a lot like Chad "Ballin'" Warden. I wouldn't be surprised if they are the same person as they are both in desperate need of professional treatment.
I went on and educated myself. Found out that when you called yourself "Sentido Común"... you actually made a poll about about how you thought Margarito could knock out Bernard Hopkins at 175 pounds. You silly Chad Warden lookalike :)
