So come on, whats the deal? ive noticed alot of comments lately like UK fighters are crap, Haye shags 20 men so you cant respect someone like that, hatton overhyped, khan blah blah blah.
so let it all out
Who said I was trying to be offensive? Yanks sure are getting their knickers in a twist tonight arent they?:bottle:
"Yanks sure are getting their knickers in a twist tonight arent they"?
Who says that???? hahah
i like haye. he's exciting and powerful and has a little flair to him. i like his style. my only criticism would be that he should take 2-3 tuneups before going after wlad. he needs the 200+ lb experience, especially against a big, rangey guy like wladi.
i respect calzaghe but think he is overrated as the "best supermiddle of all time." i think toney, b-hop, and of course roy were all superior in their primes. i used to like hatton a lot (ben tackie fight especially) but think he's overhyped in terms of where he stands amongst the elite. i also think he's on the decline now...
Im American. I like Calzaghe. I like Hatton. I liked Lewis when he fought. I dont like Haye. Haye has never fought anyone, and he has fans who would blow him for a quarter just because he runs his mouth alot and "looks like he could pull chicks...and man...what a body" and other uselsss garbage.
I don't really care what you call me, I'm not easily offended but "YANK" is kind of retro. No one especially in the states uses that term. In the states when you use the term "YANK" it means you are either really OLD or from another country and most likely are offended by Americans and you not feel welcome. Either you just use the term because you feel offended and are loss of words or you just try and piss people off by using the word. But I could care less what you say. I was just wondering if you knew what it meant or if you just use it because other people use it. But if you are trying to make someone feel welcome you wouldn't use the term "YANK". It would be funny to see you speak to a person and call them a yank in person... You would probably get laughed at....

Define a Yank? Seriously? You've never heard that term before, no?
Why do you keep going on about my signature? Touched a nerve obviously. The truth is uncomfortable for some people I guess.

i dont overate British fighters at all matter of fact i dont overate any fighter cause i know at this level the difference between winning and losing is minimal ,and if u are stupid enough to overlook that and bang on about a particular fighter like he is the best fighter ever then u will make yourself sound like an idiot when he loses
most of the British fans on this site are primarily fans of British fighters cause they are British not because they are anymore talented than guys from outside of Britain which is dumb IMO
real Boxing fans enjoy Boxing regardless, its entertainment im sick of reiterating this point
I am not joking at all.
I love American people and I have only ever met friendly Americans.
This forum surprises me at times.
Since when did us Brits hate the Yanks?
Interacting online is a little different. In real life most Americans are friendly and don't mind stopping to help you with directions etc. The south is the friendliest part of the country followed by the midwest IMO.
You small dicked queer. Hilarious. Still haven't defined a yank yet have you?
Your signature, like you is pathetic.

can we get confirmation on that? is that really true? is Haye really a ***?
Arrggg
It isn't true. Ricky made it up. Check Hayes myspace. He is straight :D
Maybe I'm dense but are you joking here?

Well said. I like Fatton b/c he has a good personality. Joe C is the most overrated fighter around, I have a burning hate for him. Haven't seen too many Khan fights, he's a towelhead so he can be chalked.
You live in a trailer and eat roadkill don't you?
On topic: it's been well said already. Some British fans overrate our talent and irritate a lot of people. I will always passionately defend Calzaghe, who is just about the only truly World class British fighter and a man unfairly hated on for things he couldn't really control; but generally I know we have a habit of overrating our boxers. I try not to, but I suppose we all occasionally overrate. I fear I may have done with Haye, but the guy is exciting to watch and has a real chance.
I have four American friends and I literallly thank God for them every day because they are always there for me and they help me out so often.
Americans are the greatest and most friendliest people on this Earth.
Also, the Americans that I know only have truly great things to say about British fighters such as Ricky Hatton, Lennox Lewis, Joe Calzaghe and David Haye.
