If you are a gambler and you've identified a fight as 50/50 then you would take the underdog(Margarito) every time. Especially if you're getting 2-1. If you truly believe it's 50/50 then it's a no brainer. Bet it in person in Las Vegas. That way your money is guaranteed and you can get it back immediately in cash. Or you can send them the ticket by Registered Mail. Yes, i agree from a gamblers point of view always take the underdog in a close matchup in any sport, BUT, my philosophy is take who you know will win. When i have a 100% feeling who will win I will bet on that even if it's the favorite. 2-1 odds mean nothing if you lose the bet, but a -170 still gets you $$ in your pocket when you win, if you're sure of victory.

A lot of you guys can bash me and tell me I am fucking crazy, but this is boxing were anything can happen yes the odds are that Cotto will take this and I know he is a superior boxer, but in the ring nothing is a guarantee Its a toss up and I will take the gamble. I agree with everything you say except I think Marg hits harder. Also, glass chin or not, Cotto has been severely hurt before and that could definitely play a factor. Margarito has been hurt pretty good too.

I will take some of your advices and make this bet in person. Just got off the phone with a betus.com rep and I can't make that size bet. I live about 300 miles from Las Vegas I will make the trip on fight weekend and make the bet. in that case, pick up a ticket for Sin City; he's a Capo and deserves as much.

Anything can happen, but I really believe with enough confidence that I dont even think about the fight that Cotto will come out with a win. If all you read is NSB forums you would think Margarito is going to blow away Cotto. But for some reason this forum is were all the Mexicans come, and they are loyal to their boxers no matter what, and are blind. I don't know bro.
