Why would you assume Floyd Mayweather's fans hate Cotto?

I am one of the biggest Floyd Mayweather's fans in these forums as you can tell by distinctive red karma. I think Floyd was the best mordern fighter and one of the very best to ever lace'em up. But i like Cotto. He's young, exciting and despite his flaws, he has a whole lot of heart and keeps getting better every fight! You can say I'm a fan and i will be rotting for Cotto on the 26th. I think some of the supposed Cotto fans make him look bad sometimes and that's a shame. Getting him in the way of hate and comparing him with Robocop. Silly. I was watching Cotto vs Torres and i was amazed at Cotto's heart, i noticed his corner saying "Are you crazy?! Don't trade with him, you're leaving yourself open!" Know what Cotto did? Ignored them, went in there, traded with him despite being hurt already twice and won the fight by TKO. If that isn't heart what is? Cotto is definitely ready for anyone in his way. I can see Cotto dominating for a long time.

I'm a Mayweather fan(green Karma, I know, I'm sorry), and I am indifferent towards Cotto. which is weird considering you're a haye and katsidis fan.they're much more in the line of the type of fighter that cotto is.

i am a cotto fan , as puertorican i am of course. i think mayweather he a very good boxer with amazing speed and agility. i dont hate the man, but of course i hate is cocky mouth, but then again i know how boxing is a business so i know how it work. if u seen some of 24/7 from de la hoya figths i see some of the part that u can actually see the human side of mayw. as a father as a son. and that nice to see..

Am just looking forward to a good fight, I think the Cotto fans are the one bitter toward the Mayweather fans calling them names like Flomos..nuthuggers just to name a few, But it doesnt make someone like me to root against him. I think when you have experience Hatton's fanatics in FULL FORCE nothing anyone else can do to make you want to hate their favourite fighter but the Cotto and Wlad fans are trying though.

Apparently the Flomos are rooting for Cotto to lose. A lot of Mayweather's fans want Margarito to do the job that Mayweather (for whatever reason) was unwilling to do.

Because most of Mayweathers 'fans' are really just nuthuggers. Not actual, normal fna.s Cotto, Margarito, a lot of fighters have those find of 'fans'. However, Mayweather is of discussion and furthermore, Mayweather has the most haters, so he's bound to have it balanced it out with the most 'lovers'. Regarding your question, most of nuthuggers fear the idea of Cotto being a legit threat.

I have no real problems with Cotto either, in fact I love his style, and to be honest I don't have it within me to dislike him - it's just the way his fans and journalists use his name to take shots at Floyd. For example, yesterday the headline said that Cotto said the welterweight division is doing fine without Floyd, but he didn't say it quite like that. It made it sound as if he was trying to badmouth him and I didn't see it that way at all, he was just speaking in a matter of fact way like he always does. I can't recall whether either of those two have slagged each other off.
