Some say Abraham's mandatory could be avioded, which would allow a fight with Pavlik but Pavlik opts to fight Williams instead. Lets not forget Abraham has openly said he would like to fight Pavlik.
No, I'll go check. Pav fans will say what they want about Cal, and Cal fans will say what they want about Pav. People think I'm a Cal fan, but I'm a defender of lunacy. being said about any fighter.
i sent a public message earlier i think
boof you know pavlik isnt ducking abraham, this is just bullshit started by calzaghe fans to make their god look better,
boof did you get my message?
Pavlick is not ducking AA. I think in late January maybe February, they will get together:boxing:
And I'm sure Pav's fans will vote no.

I love people who scream and shout at you for comparing Pavlik to Lacy just because Pavlik beat everyone to Taylor and KOed him first. Do you know what the Lacy fans were saying leading up to the Calzaghe fight? "Lacy has an underrated jab."
They were also saying that Calzaghe was "ducking" him and that Calzaghe was a "slapper".
Is anyone surprised that some people are getting a strong case of de ja vu here?
That's right, when all else fails, run right back to the Lacy fight. Today's Calzaghe isn't the same guy that beat up on Lacy. And Lacy is for... fucking... sure no Pavlik.
Lacy is no Pavlik? What the fuck has Pavlik done thats so great? Beat Jermain Taylor after almost getting knocked out himself?
I see plenty of similarities. Both undefeated American KO artists touted as the "next big thing". Both have little technical ability and have very predictable walk forward styles.
Its a style which is tailor made to suit Calzaghe's strengths. We dont even know if Pavlik has power at SuperMid yet considering he only eeked out the 2nd fight with Taylor. Lacy had proven SuperMid power.
I think it could be slightly closer than Lacy cos Pavlik wouldnt get as easily discouraged. But I still see a comfortable wide decision for Calzaghe.
Two champions in the same weight division should put their titles on the line when the fight. That way the winner would have both of the titles and can say that they are the best. If one fighter won and the loser goes back and defends his title, then the belts are still out there and boxing doesn't need that. We need more title unifications to get a clearer view on who is the best in the division.
lol, i laughed at that as well. No way a welterweight beats a middleweight.
I honestly dont give a toss what ABC 123 Belt anyone owns. Pavlik holds the Ring Championship and wont lose that out of the ring. That will be on the line against Abraham and thats all that matters.
And I'm sure Pav's fans will vote no.
Whom has more fans? Pavlik probably by about 5 to 1 going by theyre national populations. Not trying to bait or anything, just saying this does have to be factored into many of the polls on the site. In peak US hours new polls have a tendency to change a lot come peak hours of say EU. It's only natural.
Last post on this.
The reason I say 2 years because if by then, Pavik hasn't taken up the offer, something will have gone seriously wrong. Everyone can see that fight is on the cards and will happen. If Pavlik chooses not to fight AA and totally dismisses him (as Calzaghe did to Kelly), THEN it's a duck.
The difference with Pavlik vs JC is that Calzaghe is talking about retiring after fighting Jones Jr, straight after.
Unlike AA Vs KP, that fight can't simmer because JC is ruling it COMPLETELY out. He's retiring right after (or so he keeps saying).
That fight needs to happen straight after, basically of Joe's retirement schedule. Whereas neither AA or KP are retiring any time soon.
Firstly Clegg's not really a big Calzaghe fan as it were, so that ruins your excuse of its all Calzaghe fans, dis mission. Your answer doesn't entirely make sense either. You use Calzaghe retiring as an excuse for not applying your odd 2 year rule. When really, the retirement does the opposite, many pick big fights with a big name and big pay day to set themselves up, Joe's never really had them so he's entitled as much as the many others have done it and will continue to.
It's typical a younger guy more fresh on the block is there but Calzaghes old and has been looking to retire for awhile. He's fought many young guys, many American. He can't keep doing it to avoid ppl like you saying he's not ducking, otherwise he'll never retire. Literally. That's something I'm not sure you've quite got your head around, and undermines your excuse of retiring, and turns it round on it's head infact.
Believe me, I used to have a go at Burner for saying the same thing but in all honesty I can see it happening. Jermain Taylor lost to Corey Stinks on my scorecard who Mayweather would beat around 118-110 so Pavlik beating Taylor does nothing at all for me. Mayweather has an iron chin and in the past I've ridiculed him (only because of his annoying fans) but he is so clearly the best fighter today and capable of beating a MW stiff.
You can't be fucking serious.
It's the farthest thing from ducking because it's pretty obvious that Pavlik is preparing for a showdown with Abraham at the beginning of 2009. AA has a mandatory and once he takes care of that IT'S ON!
You know it's time to log out when they start chopping up your post and breaking it down :lol1:
Thanks for the lengthy reply, Kris. I got bored of skimming quite early on, though.
Good night, everyone. I'm going back to my healthy life and at some point tonight, going to stick my meat stick in my beautiful girlfriends big, plump ass.
Have fun debating Joe Calzaghe, guys!!!!!!!! I'm sure it'll be totally worth it!!!!!!
Thanks for underlining your ignorance, laziness and dismissive attitude to what you dis-agree with and don't know about. I'll ignore the childish "hey, I'm cool I've got a girlfriend" stuff, and respectfully bite my tongue on any joke making. Please play again, next time you might be a winner.

You do realize, that your logic can be reversed and bite you on your ass. Be careful where you tread young fella, because someone could bring up the Taylor, Joe and Hopkins mix also.
It's all about the money.
HBO should headline Abraham and Pavlik on the same card in the future and advertise the damn thing. It would then become a big enough money fight to pay both camps.
Abraham is an unknown over here and Pavlik is not much better off than that. I know if I was a promoter, that I would not shell out 10 million to each camp knowing I will lose my shirt in the process.
What program did you use to make your sig? Thats nice.
Who the fuck cares about belts? Pavlik and Abraham are the two best middleweights in the world.
Two champions in the same weight division should put their titles on the line when the fight. That way the winner would have both of the titles and can say that they are the best. My god, a Calzaghe fan berating another fighter apparent ducking. You taking the fucking piss?
Firstly you inter you think Calzaghe ducked Pavlik. Ok, gotten that straight. You don't however, think Pavlik is ducking AA. This I find a double standard. Not that I think it's worth much time invested outlining again why to you, or trying to be reasonable, but I will anyway, I'm nice like that. Here goes...
If 2 years from now, AA and Pavlik haven't fought, despite AA continually calling out KP, then we can call it a ducking. As it is, AA has just come off a great win off Miranda, and now is the time for him to solidify his status as a top, top fighter in the minds of the American boxing public.
-Calzaghe didn't really call out Pavlik in the way AA has. He's said once or twice he wanted him, and most of the others just he's 2nd preference and possible. More than Pavliks done.
-And right, so there's time limits to these things right. Calzaghe has 5 months to face a guy 2 weight divisions below, but we'll give Pavlik 2 years to face the #2 guy and fellow champion in his own division, which would be a unification bout?
-And you conveniently say AA needs to solidify himself? When Pavlik recently TKO'd a bum, and Abraham beat a much more formiddable opponent by way of brutal knock out in 4 rounds? Also in the first fight, he won with a broken jaw. Give me a break. Also, Calzaghe says Pavlik needs to build his name up, and most and I bet you, don't accept that whatsover, not even a bit, yet do massively for Abraham.
Double standards.
AA Vs KP will be a tremendous fight if and when it happens. Which it will.
Thanks for that, wake me up when it's on, hopefully within two years you say right, so thats several fights for Pavlik whilst AA has openly called out Pavlik for a unification bout soon.
The difference between this and Calzaghe in regards to Pavlik is that JC keeps coming out and saying Roy Jones is going to be his last fight, despite him previous saying RJJ was shot and he wanted Pavlik. He might have stated different today, but most of us still remember those delusional comments about how Pavlik "doesn't want a piece of me, I'm too good, me" from Calzaghe.
If JC retires without fighting Pavlik, THAT will be a ducking.
If Pavlik refuses to fight AA at some point, THAT will be a ducking.
And right now, I know which has the greater likelihood of coming off.
See, this is the fucking problems with you Calzaghe minions. You take criticism levelled at your God and then turn it around in some asburd manner, try to deflect.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Joe Calzaghe nuthuggers on this forum are about the worst thing I've ever seen on the internet.
When AA
Calzaghe has for a year or two now, said his 46th bout would quite possibly be his last, he's been open about the fact he doesn't want to keep going on too long, he's struggling to make SMW, and he finds it hard to get motivated now. Would bet you didn't know any of this.
So even if Roy was his last fight, and it was just for money, so fucking what, big deal. There's always going to be another guy out there, if he kept going until there were not formidable opponents left he'd be in a coma in his 80's. Yet it's ok for Mayweather to retire several times when he's not rematched ODL or faced Cotto. Funny that's not mentioned half as much as this far lesser stuff on Calzaghe.
I'd love to keep publically self owning you, but I really must have conversations with more fair, rational, unbiased, objective people. All the best, tata.
I'm not Calzaghe nuthugger and I don't think Pavlik is ducking anyone. I only used "duck" to get your attention.
Come to think of it, is Abraham willing to drop his IBF belt to fight Pavlik?

Here's the thing. It doesn't matter if he'd be willing to drop the belt to fight Pavlik or not. The fact that one or two moronic posters will show up here and say he would, obviously makes it gospel. Therefore Pavlik MUST be ducking AA. No if's, and's or but's.
