Amir khan. Although he is only fighting at British level, the Olympic medallist is a household name in UK and a millionaire so he has to be the worst of the famous fighters. He is only 21 and has been caught a few times..... Give him a few more years to work on it. I'd say Audley Harrison has got to be on that list.....

I like Roy Jones but he never had a great chin. I also heard someone mention that he has proved his chin over the years, which is not true. He had so much ability and reflexes that no one managed to catch his chin when he was on his prime. The only fighter that came close was Lou Dell Valle, and he hurt Jones, buckled his legs and dropped him for the first time. I wouldn't say a prime Jones had the chin that he showed against Johnson and Tarver, but i wouldn't consider it very good.

Yea what the hell was he talkin about? Even when he got KO'd it took alotta right hands to do that, and the last one he got caught with a monster right hand.. Exactly, Taylor took a lot of big right hands from Pavlik in the first fight before he got KO'd....Taylor took huge bombs in the rematch too and never went down, he was hurt pretty bad to the body though.

Nah no-one can say Jones. The man proved his chin over many years. His 2 KOs weren't because his chin suddenly turned to glass, it was just the natural process of ageing and fighting well beyond your prime. Anyone can get KO'd if they fight beyond their prime for too long. yea I agree with you. I just was mocking his list becuz he threw roy on it.

Yeah, Taylor got caught with a bomb in that fight! It seems like whenever a guy gets KO'd now-a-days, he has a bad chin.:thinking: people are missing the point im making up the numbers with people like Taylor 7/10 seems a fair assesment of his chin does it not

Hopkins is not really a soft puncher though. I have many of his earlier fights where he scored brutal knockouts. You should check out the fight between Hopkinsa and Joe Lipsey. Lipsey was an unbeaten fighter with the look of credentials. Bernard not only domimnated the fight,he also brutally knocked Lispey out and ended his career. Taylor took bombs from Kelly Pavlik, who is a knockout artist and it took 7 rounds of flush right hands to finally get him out. Fighters with weak chins get knocked out and hurt against soft punchers. I personally didn't see Taylor hurt against Wright.:boxing: Hopkins vs Lipsey. fair enough i dont think Taylor has a weak chin strictly speaking i say 7/10

thats why i put J M Marquez and Taylor towards the bottom cause J M Marquez has been down many times and Taylor has been knocked out and hurt by what i consider none punchers in Winky and Hopkins they probably have 7/10 chins but they dont have a Calzaghe ,Hopkins like chin so thats why they make the bottom of my list Hopkins is not really a soft puncher though. I agree though...lol. I just hope that he tightens up his defense so it could be protected. One thing that i like is the fact that he is very tough as well and when he was hurt against Johnson, he was fighting back while he was dazed. Not a smart move, but its takes heart to fight through adversity. Since that was the first time that he was pressured, I'm pretty sure that he will make smarter decisions next time. On topic, IMO Cotto, Spinks, Marquez and definitely Taylor has pretty good chins.
