David Haye's post-fight reaction to Klitschko vs. Thompson

David Haye is setting himself up to be one of the biggest jokes of boxing in recent history.

I will be stunned to fuck if Haye's power doesn't translate at heavyweight. I think it will.

I agree, I'm sure Haye agree's too that what makes him such a bad ass. He is going to come out super aggressive. This has first round knockout written all over it. Either way. I think. Either way fans of either fighter are going to get caned. I'm starting to favour Haye because Wlad seems so worried when his opponent gets in close. Haye won't panic he will get planted face first or he will smash Wlad to pieces. Of course Wlad could come in with a smarter plan, just hold and lean all over Haye and see how he can deal with the extra weight. Someone is getting knocked out so I think you can afford to give rounds away. It's a fascinating fight plain and simple. ....See, I kind of get your point but this is where we disagree. Lets just look at the facts as we know them. 1. Wlad has taken clean punches from Sam Peter, McCline, Mercer, Thompson, Brock, and many other "Heavies" who can crack. We have no idea if David Haye can even withstand a real Heavyweight punch. 2. We have no idea if Haye's alleged "awesome power" can even translate to the heavies. He hasn't exactly dropped any legendary iron chinned tough guys now has he? We also know that Haye is very chinny and has been hurt by relatively small men. Why would his chin hold up against a much bigger man and a harder puncher than he has ever faced? Haye is a total unkown in this fight as far as how he would do. The Haye fans are just convinced that Wlad will fold with the first punch he lands and that's total fucking nonsense, as we have nothing to go by on that. For people to assume that Haye can even hurt Wlad is a fucking joke. What the hell are they basing it on? IMO Haye is nothing but hype. I just want Wlad to go ahead and sign to fight him, torture him for 5-6 rounds, and then give him a Calvin Brock style KO where his face goes rubber in slow motion. If that happens it will be the happiest day this site has ever seen as the Haye fans are the most obnoxious and delusional fans to ever inhabit these boards. In my 4 plus years on this site and have never seen a bigger group of jagoffs in my entire life. Floyd, RJJ, and Hatton fans don't even come close in the bullshit and delusion department.

It's a shame in one way that months and months of work, comes down to 5 minutes, and whomever lands the first cleanest punch. I mean even if Wlad landed the first one, there's no doubt had it have carried on, Haye would have landed the most with his speed. So it's a numbers game really, and a rematch would probably be quite justified despite no doubt a quick KO. The same could happen vice versa the next time.

We should all be grateful for Haye spreading some personality over the HW division.

Wlad/Haye will create a lot of interest because Haye has been ridiculously overhyped...but the truth is the fight is a MISMATCH...Wlad will take out Haye in 2 or 3 rounds easily Chagaev, Peter, Povetkin, Valuev, Dimitrenko, Arreola, Ibragimov, Thompson, etc.... Haye will provide more of a test than Thompson did thats for sure Haye will make him fight wether he gets Koed or not Wlad will have more chance of losing a fight with Haye than he did against Thompson we all know how disorganised Wlad gets when he is preassured and Haye will be looking for him from the opening bell and if he lands just one right hand he is sure to shake Wlad up thats what makes this fight so interesting either man can go down or get knocked out i dont think Wlads chin is any better than Hayes TBH Wlad gets shaken by virtually everything that lands

He was referring to speed. He said even at CW where guys are quicker, that a quick ish CW in Mac was very slow for him, and HW's are only slower.
