As in opting to watch fights online i.e. Sopcast as opposed to ordering PPV fights.
If you can sit through a shitty low resolution, low fps, sopcast feed, then you're probably a more hardcore fan than most. I tried a few times, I can't stand watching fights on spocast.
Personally I can't afford to order every ppv and there are some that I wouldn't pay for even if I had the money. I usually avoid the forums and download the fights(torrents) once they are over.
I would argue that real fans know when to boycott a fight. Pacquiao's last fight didn't belong on PPV, for example. Casamayor-Marquez does not belong on PPV. Sometimes you have to boycott as a fan, but you should also pay for the ones that deserve to be on like Pacquiao-Marquez II and De La Hoya-Mayweather. Honestly Cotto-Margarito doesn't belong on PPV because even though it will be a good fight most likely, neither guy is a PPV fighter, especially Margarito. Cotto is at least close.
That's like saying Corrales-Castillo I should have been on PPV when neither was a big name and really neither ever became big enough to warrant PPV money. The rematch made it to PPV because of the first fight
it just means ur poor such as me. I cannot afford to watch cotto margarito i just dont have the money
I remember being your age and having to miss some big fights because my pockets were empty. It was painful having to listen to round by round reports on the radio. At least unlike me you have the internet.
I buy a PPV every few months, two this year so far, but I watch fights online almost every weekend, sometimes several times a week.
Online doesn't compare to my 42" high definition TV, but most of the fights I want to see (European fighters) are not available on TV where I live. I'd buy more PPVs if they were good Universum or Sauerland fight cards.
I'd buy if Universum or Sauerland would have good fight cards
Ever tried a big monitor??
Ever tried a big monitor with sopcast? poor resolution still sucks
Well for many in the UK it's a matter of if your TV package includes a particular channel. I have many channels but not Setanta sports yet unfortunately, so youtube and sopcast can be pretty handy for me unless I watch a big fight at a mates, a bar, or it's on another channel.
I voted no in the poll because the question is any less of a fan, and no because your showing you interest as a fan full stop. Any less of a valued fan, perhaps so yes.
I was going to vote yes, but then I thought that any true boxing fan would order every single PPV if money was no object. Many people have budgets and obligations that don't allow for luxuries, and that doesn't make them any less of a fan.

I don't think so. I just like ordering fights because for one, I'm a boxing fan, and two, I have friends and family come over alot of the times.
