Any boxing purist should be in awe of the technical brilliance Wlad demonstrated last evening. Manny has done well in teaching him the master component of the sweet science. Hit and don't get hit. It was a masterful display of pure boxing genius. Sheer domination. A virtuoso performance by one of the true students of the game reminiscent of Mayweather v Baldomir. Man against boy.
Tony Thompson's defense is grade A. The way he held his gloves in front of his face blocking all of Wlad's shots and sticking his jab in Russian's mug was a thing of beauty. A Wright v Trinidad type performance.
How could you not love it? For those of you who have pondered how a Mayweather v Wright matchup might play out there it is. Don't be sour. Both these fighters got paid. That's all that matters.
For those who took this serious, it was only sarcasm. Tools.
Wlad is winning, but he is just winning ugly. This is the reason why he does not fight on ppv. Nobody wants to pay to see this type of fight. It is funny that he is being criticized for how he fights. Why is that. Lennox had some good ko's, but was criticized the same way for how he fought against Holy. Lennox always knew how to fight on the inside. Wlad just can't or doesn't want to. His losses came because all he had to do was fight inside. Wlad would be a beast if he fought inside against Sanders, Purrity and Brewster. Instead he had no clue how to deal with a pressure fighter. We are waiting to see if he really learned how to do this. Nobody is saying Wlad has to come out and fight inside, it just a resort if he has to thing. Imagine if he got inside and put leverage on those hooks he threw. He could take a lot of guys out. He just has to stay on the outside. It works now, but I doesn't work for your whole career.
he had a lot of knockouts early-mid career with the left hook on the inside but he just doesnt let it go anymore
lol wtf u talkin aobut. u just called Klitschkos performances brilliant lol stfu.
guy at lower weight dont get hurt as much as HW as well as stamina wise they carry less weight.
it is easier to KO someone who doest have stamina then one that does
You should stick to watching little men, because everything you said is inaccurate in regard to heavyweight boxing. You don't have the eyes for it.

I thought it was a pretty sloppy fight overall.. and even thought wlad was predictable... he really needs to mix up his punches more.. it was nice to see him throw a few uppercuts and finally go to the body.. but he needs to do it more
good post welt, i agree.

I dont expect you to understand anything either, however anyone that boxes just got a good demonstration on how to effectively beat Abraham's and Wright's defense. Much more effective then Hopkins did and much safer as well.
Hence the irony of "unskilled" heavyweight boxing.
There aren't many careful observers here. What they mistake for 'skill' is just a lot of posturing.

Yep. Hopkins never really picked apart Wright's defense. But Wright is better than Thompson.
yeah people expect a 230 lb person to move like matrix of the Straw weight
HW is a different ball game one punch and the fight ended
Exactly. You don't attack just because your guy is off balance. You reset and stick to the plan. The plan was to slowly get Thompson to move his right hand so you could sneak in a few solid straight punches per round

I am not expecting you to understand it, although you are british and should understand the concept of "english" humor, you are not clever and will see right through it.
You can't pull it off.

stfu about english shit.
Wlad poor performance he wont get on ppv for a while.
Saw the white, but there was nothing brilliant about Klitschkos performance. He did some very stupid manuevers, like clinching while his man was hurt (wtf?) and not listening to his training.
Thompson is extremely limited, does many many things wrong. ANd SOOOOOOOO often, Thompson left himself wide open AND off balance after a combination, and Klitschko did NOTHING to make him pay for it. He didnt even feint or do shit.
It was a decent, mediocre performance at best. Im a Klitschko hater, but i even know he could do better than that
