Why are people saying Pavlik vs. Williams is a mismatch?

I brought up Hatton in a completely unrelated sense to make a point about someones out of fight weight and their prime fighting weight. You and the other obsessed one started going on about him.

Id like to see him fight winky more, but im excited that he is fighting williams, i dont think williams can be competitive at his own weight though, i think he will get knocked out

It is a mismatch. Williams will be running all night. If Quintana gave Williams problems Pavlik will punish the Punisher.

Williams is being incredibly ambitious by moving up two weights to take on the top guy in the division. Most fighters will test the waters before chasing the big names and I see it as a very risky move. Very risky fight. He has alot to gain if he wins and very little to lose. If he loses we will all say that the weight was an issue.

First, when he is too big to be fighting welterweights people say that he has an unfair advantage weight draining down to that size and should be fighting middleweights. Now that the opportunity comes to fight someone HIS SIZE.. Yes, his size.. You forget that Williams started his career out @ middleweight, now all the sudden it's a mismatch?.. I thought this was what people wanted? Anyway, when he does fight Pavlik we will see why he would rather kill himself to make the welter limit then to fight dudes his own size.. because he can't and wont be competitive at his own weight. they are not the same size, kelly between fights weighs as much as 180 where as paul williams maybe only weighs 160,the only reason pavlik has not moved up in weight is because he is the middleweight champ and he did fight taylor at 168 pounds and said that he felt better at 168

I still dont understand the fuss in Williams going up to fight Pavlik, People are making it look like he would die or something.

In all fairness to Quintana, he is good at what he does and he may be 2nd tier at 147 but he would top tier fighting at any other weight. Quintana is very good, I didn't mean to suggest otherwise. But you don't go from splitting a pair with Quintana to the middleweight championship in your next fight

Williams was picked apart by a second-tier welterweight. Pavlik is the middleweight champ. That's why. who got stupid and instead of doing what he did the first time sticking and moving he stood and traded.
