HI guys, judah is my favorite and seriously i think this guy is one of the most interesting boxer to watch. very fast, hot headed. impatient, etc.
whatever it is, i am just curious, do you think he is finished if he lost to CLOTTEY??
there is always an excuse for him.
with badomir, HE IS NOT FOCUSED. fine,
against pbf, well , he was against the best pound for pound fighter.
against cotto, he was hit on the balls twice. and he was under suspension for 1 year before he fought cotto.
SO with clottey, what kind of excuse judah can come up if he lost.
personally, I would love him to win. like it or not, JUDAH IS NEVER been picky. HE fight anybody. i like him a lot.

Clottey is a legit Top 10 guy and I think will challenge the whole fight, if not beat Zab.
Zab keeps selling tickets off hype and exposure, but he only holds one major win (against a guy he lost to the first time) and he keeps getting threads made about him, keeps getting TV time, etc.
He can lose to Clottey and fight for a 154 lbs. belt in his next fight, or against a name fighter right away. That's just how it is.
Judah has to understand that this is his last shot, period. He probably doesn't deserve it from a competitive standpoint, when was the last time he beat a contending welterweight?
If he can't get by Clottey, I don't think Judah belongs with the top welterweights anymore.
Talent and the flaws you point out are to very different things.
And If his next 10 fights are anything like Cotto/Judah, i'll be paying for them all.
Your money, not mine. Besides, my point is that "being exciting" doesn't make you worthy of a title shot. Period.
pretty much nothing will happen. To be honest Zab has too much swag and confidence...this guy still thinks he can beat anyone. The problem with most boxers is that after certain losses they either loose confidence in themselves, their skills or just loose their love for the sport. I cant see this happening with Zab. Judah has 5-6 years left in him IMO and even if he looses he will fade for a while and be one big win away from being a big name again.
Judah's a fast-handed southpaw. He fades as soon as opponents realize that's all he is. His defense (for all this talk of talent) is average. his ring generalship is non-existant and his focus is somewhere near the floor. That's usually where he ends up anyway.
I'm not even sure Clottey beats him because he has his own mental lapses but I'll be rooting hard so that we don't have to see Judah in yet ANOTHER pay-per-sham where he can look good for four rounds before shitting the bed while convincing some of you to think, "I'll pay to see that again!"

You're in the minority then. Judah has tons of talent, just watch the first four rounds against Mayweather and tell me this man doesn't have talent.
He may fade in fights but the fact is he still fun to watch. His role now consist of him being the dangerous opponent, so he has nothing to lose. Winning against Clottey would change that, but if he were to lose it wouldn't affect him that much. He would still be a viable name that would be a draw against still to be proven young prospects or unproven champions like Berto.
Wouldn't you pay $40.00 to see Berto vs Judah? I know I would.

Talent or fast hands? I think the latter. I don't know the talent you speak of other than fast hands. And I'm not up for shelling out $40 to watch "fast hands" lose.

agree. and i think i have to mention this. MIKE TYSON is also a 4 rounds fighter.
if the opponent still strong after like 4 rounds, tyson cant do anything anymore.
judah is like little mike tyson
Yeah, except for a two-three year period Mike Tyson was rated the #1 p4p fighter in the sport, was a WORLDWIDE SUPERSTAR and umm...did I mention his name is MIKE TYSON?
Judah on the other hand has basically lost every opportunity he had. So NO, he doesn't deserve it. I'm still trying to figure out what he did (past or present) that's earned him this shot.

He has amazing talent, he just lacks the mental fortitude to use it past round 4.
That may be, but none have half the talent that Judah has. Judah is exciting because of his talent, the way he hits people and his fast hands. He is exciting in a different way and that's why people want to see him fight.

I guess. I think moreso because folks still "believe" he can do something. He's a one-trick pony who fades if you're still standing after five. That's predictable. And not exciting at all.
There are plenty of fighters on Telefutura and Fox Sports Network that are "exciting." Hell, you can find that at a local club show. If that's all Zab brings to the table, that's where he belongs. Not on HBO PAY-PER-SHAM fighting for yet ANOTHER world title.

Zab Judah Is One Of The Most Talented Fighters Out There....talent Is Such A Horrible Thing To Waste...zab Has Lost All Of His Big Fights Except For The Rematch With Spinks...if Judah Loses His Career Will Be Officially Over....unless Somehow He Winds Up Getting Another Shot At A Vacant Title
Well he does usually make fights exciting so he's watchable at least.

He's been done. He just keeps getting fights. This won't change because fans still pretend he's an elite fighter - or worth buying. He's neither.

Not done. Because he will still get fights. But done as in trying to ressurect his career. At that point it would be too many failure for him to overcome.
