PR will never be hurting, nor has it ever really hurt prior to the US. We have fish everywhere... fruits etc. That is why PRs never come to the USA with the same desperate hunger that others do. THere was always BISTEC on the table as opposed to tortilla and cheese. We have NEVER known hunger on the level that the Mexicans, per se, know. Hence, the PRs are not as hungry no pun. At the end of the day, Puerto Rico will always be OK with or without the USA. THE US took a lot of our industries away when they moved in with the industrialization and machinery. Prior to that, PR was thriving with Tobacco, sugar cane etc. For every PR that you find with derogatory if ANY comments about Mexicans, you will find 100 Mexicans talkin smack about PRs. It's an obsession and a national pastime favorite of theirs. Strange but true.
