Do they have a common opponent on there resumes, I cannot think of one. They took way different paths to get to where they are at but they both deserve this. Who has the better overall resume in your opinion? I think that Cotto clearly has the better resume overall but during there times in the WW division I think its closer but still think Cotto's is just a little better.
Lay off the boxrec.
Just because Boxrec has a guy on 0-0-0 or similar doesnt actually mean his record really is 0-0-0. It just means boxrec is incomplete.
Reyes Estrada was making his PROFESSIONAL DEBUT, they threw him in with Margarito who had 18 fights. The dude retired soon after that!

actually the guy had a 0-0-0 record.... a couple fights later he fought a guy with a 0-10 record. That is very sad in comparison to Cotto.
After 18 professional fights, Antonio Margarito was hand fed a dude that was making his
Pro Debut, the dude was 0-0-0...poor dude got KO'd in the second round. 3 fights later Margarito was again fed a dude who NEVER won a professional fight and lost 10 in a row...KO'd by Margarito, second round.
Maybe Cotto made Gomez look like an Amatuer, but Gomez won the Contender Series...huge difference from never winning a professional bought. Cotto was already defending his Title at 140. while Margarito was playing with dudes with lossing records....and they have the same KO percentage!!!
Miguel Cotto...the better fighter!

Actually, Cotto's KO% is MUCH higher. He has the same number of KO's Margarito has despite having fought 10 less fights.

Margarito's 23rd professional fight was against a guy that had a whopping 0-10 record, while Cotto at his 23rd fight was defending his 140 title against Chop Chop.
The only fighter that Margarito has beat worth mentioning is Joshua Clottey in which he didnt look too impressive. Cintron is a good win for Margarito, but he is not very technically sound nor does he have a very good chin.
Cintron was getting wobbled by Feliciano and Suarez.
