Can Joan guzman beat Paquiao?

A lot of people seem to have slept on Joan Guzman. Maybe because they don't like his style. But can he beat Manny Pacquiao? If Guzman beats Campbell, who wins if his next fight is with Pacquiao? he won't make it on the weigh-in...

Oh, my God! When I read the title I went pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff!!!! and then when I saw the poll I was like, "What the ****?!" and then I noticed that it was an old thread and I calmed down. Joan Guzmán is no way, shape, or form elite...not anymore, at least.

The fight can be at 160 and Guzman could probably not even make that weight.

Barrera is a face first fighter? Old thread, but anyway, no he's not a face first fighter. We all know Barrera is a slick Mexican fighter with very good defense, A+ counterpunching, consistent lateral movement, superior head movement, amazing foot speed/movement, and his handspeed was top 5 in the game. His main game plan was always to box his opponents ears off.

pac having a hard time with jmm has more to do with having contrasting styles than skill levels. pac was very impatient against jmm and played right into jmm's best weapon which is counterpunching. pac was always on the attack which is more about styles than skills. jmm doesn't need to strategize that much because he just need to wait for pac to come at him which pac obliged to do like a raging bull. had pac been more patient with his attack and let jmm come at him at some point it would have been a different story. floyd easily beat jmm because he tried to take out jmm's counterpunching. in fact it was floyd doing the counterpunching and jmm was the one coming at him. jmm was like a fish out of water but nobody said his skills has diminished. it's just that floyd's style is the complete antidote to jmm's. Pacquiao hasnt actually gotten that much more skilled, people love to overstate that. he looked like he had amazing growth after the Morales fight...and then boom, ran into Marquez and he looked like his skill level had fallen off again. Hes been doing mostly the same thing for a while now, and hes had his body shots and counter right hook for along time. I never understood why people were so high on Guzman. Bump... Fight never happened but Mannys career has flourished and Guzmans has been one of the biggest wastes of talent i have ever seen... Good bump.. and that's an understatement.
