Taylor title reign=respect, Pav licks title reign=joke

I agree with this topic. Pavlik needs to fight Winky Wright next. If JT can go from Bernard to Winky, then Pavlik can go to Winky to Abraham. He got his gimmie with lockett (which is understandable), but now he needs to fight someone worth a damn.

Ohh i would totally agree with you that he came out swinging as the champ takin on great fighters and some good ones....We should also note that although i think it was a lil bit of a gift over Spinks...Remember that this is what spinks does, he makes ppl look very bad in the process outboxing them....And even with Ouma who was a very small challenger for Taylor, Ouma is still able to fight and fight solid, although his last 3 fights wouldn't explain this. Taylor really took on th best fighters at the time, but again i think he got a false sense of security with some of these victories and some of the gifts he recieved.....

I jus posted this in another thread but heres some more of my thoughts about JT....... I thought Spinks really controlled the action and i dont know about this whole compu box shit.....Iv'e watched that fight about 7 fuckin times and no way that Taylor outslands Spinks in that fight.... Then you have Lampley saying thatthe judge who scored it for Spinks should never judge again......OKKKKK Jimmy..Last i checked this fuck couldnt judge a fight let alone call one down the middle.....Biased fuck..... Yes it was a boring fight, but i think that by giving this decision to Taylor, the 2nd Hopkins fight to Taylor and the Wright fight declared a draw....Which is a whole different discussion in itself as Wright completely boxed his ears off....That he was almost given a false sense of where he was inhis career...Ithink that he already thought he was great, when he was nowhere near where he needed to be...... Just lookat what Emmanuel Steward who was Taylor's trainer at the times of some of these contests....I have never seen Steward soo animated and straight upset, yelling and screaming at a fighter since Lewis V Tyson...In the Wright fight he was all over Taylor, and in the Spinks fight it was fucking brutal what was goin on in that ring....more so then what actually was going on for the 3 mins prior to this. I think that Jermaine....who i like and think he can be a great fighter and hope the best for him thought he was already there......thought he was on top of the world and noone could beat him...Well he beat himself and soo did Hopkins, Wright, Spinks, and Pavlik twice....... And you think that Pav licks would beat Hopkins, Wright, Ouma & Spinks easily? No way....Those guys are not Gary Lockett. U almost forgot the part about Taylor knocking Pav lick fucking block off in round 2 and having him do the watoosy. If it was any ref but Smoger Pav licks would be back on Versus. I had Taylor winning the 2nd fight by the way Yea Kelly would prob knock out Ouma and Spinks, if Taylor can get 2 wins over hopkins so can Kelly, look at the way Kelly fought his 1 fight apart from Taylor, knock out, when was last time Taylor knocked someone out? or even won a fight when people didnt think the other guy should have won? Kelly vs Taylor wasnt for the title so even if you think he won, or if anyone else or if he even did win, wouldnt matter kelly would still be champ. Why are people not happy that a champ can be a down to earth guy, who brings lots o people to his fights, and is respectable during interviews. Maybe if the guy was a dick and shouted about how he was best in the world and knock out anyone that comes his way more people would like him

Taylor only fought Wright cause Wright was WBC mandatory. If Taylor didn't fought Wright, WBC would have striped Taylor of his WBC title. Lockett was WBO mandatory for Kelly. Kelly fought Lockett cause he wants to keep all this belts... BTW: I scored for Hopkins on both fights, Wright won the fight clearly, and even Spinks fucken outboxed Taylor. Those are 4 questionable decisions... Robin Reid is a ***~ I would have to agree with this and not to mention that ouma and spinks are much smaller men than taylor. wright also beat taylor in close but convincing fashion IMO.

Both fighters reigns have been respectable. Of course Taylor's reign is more impressive at the moment because he had the bigger names and fought the best. Both deserve credit for fighting eachother a second time. I'd like for Pavlik to fight Abraham next, but Abraham is tied up at the moment so Pavlik's got to go another direction. Hopefully he does end up facing Anthony Mundine instead of Marco Antonio Rubio. The guy is a warrior.

2nd, some agains said Wright won that fight. And have you seen a top fighter be so happy having the fight result in a draw. Not quite a top fighter but I remember John Luiz almost having an orgasm when he got a draw versus Holyfield in their third fight...that was as close as I've seen to JT's elation after the Wright fight.
