Jones Jr wants to fight Peter, is he out of his fucking mind?

Quoted from today's espn article about Calzaghe fight: "They call Samuel Peter 'The Nightmare,'" Jones said. "I'll give him a nightmare. I like to do stuff people think I can't do. But I am really am really looking forward to fighting Joe first. http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=3478973 Are we to take this seriously? Jones risks getting ktfo even at light heavy, and he plans to skip cruiser weight entirely to fight one of the hardest hitters in boxing? Peter isn't as passive as Ruiz was, and Jones isn't even close to what he was when he earned that heavyweight trinket. If he took this fight after Calzaghe, I'd seriously fear for his health. Peter would have 12 rounds with which to land something substantial, and I'm pretty sure he'd land at least one good one and put Jones on the mat for one of those creepy flat-out-unconscious-for-5-minutes K.Os. Or do people actually think Jones could win?

I give RJJ a chance in this fight because Sam Peter is such a steaming pile of shit that I would favor Ruiz (who was beaten by RJJ when he was in his prime) to beat him. The guy should've lost to Toney the first time, almost got KO'ed by McCline, got wobbled by a old and shot Maskaev, and would've been KO'ed by Wlad in the 12th if he let his hands go. That being said, I think RJJ is just talking out of his ass anyway and this fight won't happen.

don king let roy go so he could fight calzaghe. maybe part of the agreement is if roy wins he will fight peter, who is promoted by king. king's not really the type to let someone walk without getting something back. good point. hopefully roy is just humoring that piece of shit and after he wins the calzaghe fight (haha, I can hope) he will withdraw that proposal in order to fight glen or tarver. then he'll win a redemption ud over glen with good boxing, ko tarver in the first round, become the second black president after obama, make peace in the middle east and then transcend this earth....

If jones catches a clean punch from peter its over for him...he is out his mind to take a risk like that at his age now its dangerous for him..he cant out run peter for 12 rounds he will be gettin hit and could be fatal..:boxing:
