gma, he may have lost but at least he lost to a top welterweight! in fact, even though i had williams winning by a point many people saw it the other way. margarito is never gonna "wow" you with his skills but he can pop and he does have a ton of heart! Top Welterweight??? He was just on the come up and Margarito was the 1st "Name" on his resume. I don't see the dispute over the fight. Margarito clearly lost and had no idea how to get inside on Williams. Against Cotto, he's gonna have to "WOW" the skeptics if he expects to win.

I never looked at Margarito as being a big banger, but more of an accumulation that puncher that wear his opponents down over the course of the fight. He has a good punch, but by no means is he the hardest. Hes the lightest punching champion at welterweight IMO.
