My quick two cents..... FMJ has been "boxing" since he was like what...4yrs old? No doubt he is probably the most gifted "boxer" of our generation (in company with RJJ, Sweatpea, B-Hop).... But Manny has been "fighting" since he was also a little kid...my opinion, having the tools and a great teacher (FMJ Sr. and Uncle Roger) since you were little is a HUUUUUUGE advantage over someone who had to fight out of poverty and to survive. Manny joined Roach in what...2001? So he has only studied the "sweet science" for about 8yrs. If he got back in ring with Hatton....HAHAHAHA....This time Hatton would be punched out of the ring and land in Merchant and Lampley's lap. And yet they would still try and attempt to bash Flloyd. The definition of protection of a fighter, not to mention he got KO by a bum during his time. Fact= PAC losses to fighters in his homeland. Where last I checked there was one good fighter there.....And 3K is and was not a very talented fighter, in fact when he fought good opposision.....HE LOST!! When's the last time Mayweather lost?!?! 2. Manny has some good wins.....But great wins.....COM'ON!!!! Pac's greatest win was 1, and only one. And if you think he has more your crazy and here's why. In 2003 he completely and utterly dominated Marco Antonio Barrera. And i will be the first person to tell you it was a great win. At the time Barrera was considered a top P4P fighter and was in the prime of his career. Now look at his wins from this point on. Who really stands out. The guys he fought from here on out were shot fighters. You know it and I know it. PAC v MAB 2 was a joke. A complete joke. And the 3 fights with Morales were even worse. A prime Morales murders Manny. Morales was one of the sharpest punchers ever, and with Manny's straight ahead style, he gets KO'd and gets KO'd early. The first fight was Morales last stand as a great fighter at that point in his career, and even at this point, he was slow, and hurt from all of his battles. The next 2 fights were again jokes. Morales had nothing in the bag....nothing and those who say differently are crazy. Now, JMM! You tell me a time that a fighter got knocked down 3 times in round 1 and came back to nearly win....Not to mention that if you poll judges, its gonna be 30 for JMM 15 for PAC and 5 for a draw. He was DOMINATED the entire second half of that fight. He was made out to look like a amateur.JMM countered and rocked him all night from the 3rd round on. They fight again, and this one was close, but not as close as ppl make it out to be. Take away the KD and JMM wins that fight by 2-3 points. He easily won 7 if not 8 rounds. Manny fights aggressive, but its not always and for the most part EFFECTIVE! And lastly......David who?!?!?!The guy that barely beat an ancient Erik Morales. Any day, any hour, I'd take a fighter who has a skill level of 7 but tries to run at 20 than a fighter who has a skill level of 20 but only runs at 7. You wouldn't be saying such things about Floyd if he didn't land that lucky shot against Hatton. Supposedly great as Floyd is, it will take one loss to bring his career down. Which is the primary reason he wouldn't want to face either Cotto or Margarito. The only thing 20 about Floyd is his big mouth. If you watch that fight a few times, u can see him trying to set up Hatton for the left hook all night. Hatton didn't see it coming and walked right into it. He touched up Hatton all night, using his hand speed the entire time, and Floyd realizing he was the bigger man in the ring that night, allowed Hatton to continue to make his own mistakes and ended up throwing something with conviction that Koed Hatton. He fought a very very smart fight the entire night. Imagine the fight going the distance and Floyd retiring afterwards. How would people rate Floyd? Skilled as he is, he's still a pussy. I have more Floyd videos than any fighter, including Pacman, but it's frustrating to see a man so skilled as Floyd running from threats like a pussy.

Manny is a great fighter dont get me wrong, but he will not go down on the same elite ability that Floyd has always possessed. Simply put, as somebody has already said, Manny would never have gone through Mayweather's 130-135 resume with no losses. Where as if Floyd was too have fought Manny's fighters, and this is my opinion of course, Floyd beats them handily. Manny is a great champion, but no where near Floyd's level of skill and expertise in the ring, and that';s exactly what Mayweather is inside the ring. Since when has BOXING been abouta great fighter who FIGHTS, not one who uses ellusive abilty to make others miss all the while using great countering skills to land clean shots. When I think of the ATG fighters, to me it's not based on men who shed blood and brawl. I think of fighters like Willie Pep, who never seemingly got a hit with a clean punch. I think of fighters like SRR, who used his hand speed, and his in ring ability to get him through all his toughest fights. I htink of guys like James Toney, who use a Philly Shell type defense to roll punches, to rarley be hit with the 2nd and 3rd punch, all the while landing some of the most accurate and precise, sharp counter shots. It's not measured on who can go in there and take the most punishment and still have some left in the tank to dish it out. This is BOXING, not the UFC. This sport is about grace, about making others miss, not taking punishment but dishing it out. All my opinion of course. But this is how I personally remember the great fighters of our past. Theres plenty of good fighters, but only a handful of great ones. Both these 2 men might be remembered as great fighters, but I JUST PERSONALLY THINK THAT FLOYD WILL AND SHOULD BE REMEMBERED AS THE GREATER OF THE 2..

But, don't you think that this would also portray the opponents he has fought, mroe so then his overall skill in side the ring?
