Inspired by a reply in another thread, I'm curious what the actual result of this poll will be. In all honesty I feel that Joe Calzaghe gets some serious hate/bashing on this forum, but since I tend to notice the topics that mention me more than others I might be biased. Anyway, the closest competitor has to be Floyd Mayweather. You either seem to love him or hate him and I admit he gives me a good run for the money in the amount of hate shown on this forum.
So, let's have it.
Cast your vote and speak up!
P.S. I'm turning in so I'll check back with you chaps later...
Joe.
Calz gets cricized because if his overzelous fans they dont seem to realise he would garner more respect if they kept their mouth shut instead of shouting how great they think he is from the roof tops all the while
There is so much hate towards Mayweather that people won’t even recognize he is the most hated boxer. Now that’s hate.
LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.. I think people just think there favourite fighter gets hated on when they see negative posts about them, But NO one come close to Mayweather.
When you're at the top then people hate you because of the attention on you, But i think joe is getting some unnecessary hate at the moment.
Isnt it funny how Both Cotto and pavlik (Promoted by arum) are in the middle of the hate generated by other fight fans..For some reason Arum is making it look like "His" fighter are all being ducked..Ridiculous.
Calzaghe currently, previously it was Mayweather.
I don't understand how Calzaghe can seriously be considered to be ducking Pavlik, a man two weight divisions below him with one defence of his first title.
At this very second? Calzaghe because of the Pavlik situation and his slag daddy shooting his mouth off about it.
Overall? Mayweather. The % of people who thought Ricky Hatton was a great opponent for Mayweather before the fight because he had the perfect style to beat him is a HELL of a lot higher than the current batch who give Mayweather any credit for the Hatton fight. The funny part is even after the victory, people love to talk about how Floyd ducked Hatton at 140. :wtf1:
People are talking about Mayweather ducking Cotto for years, but people forget, before the Mosley victory, Cotto had done jack shit to really distinguish himself from the group.
People are still mentioning the Margarito situation from 2006, the Hatton situation from 2005, the Tszyu situation from 2004, the Spadafora, Lazcano, Casamayor and Freitas situations from 2003 and the Freitas and Casamayor situations from 2002. I mean, really... he ducked every single one of them and it is still important to talk about? I don't get it.
Although there is a lot of improvement that could have happened on Floyd's resume, it's not like he can go back to 2002 and fight Joel Casamayor, so, really, what is the point in still talking about it?
I will say that the lack of credit Calzaghe gets for murdering Lacy actually made this contest close though.
