Well as a few of you might remember i moved to SoCal to persue my boxing dream... well ive been training for a week and a half now or so and had my first sparring session... Id love for your input if youve got the time ;)
Was my first REAL sparring that i took 100% in about 4 years so i was a bit rusty.... but illl knock the rust off ;)
Not great but a good base to work with so far... i was dissapointed but i have to remember... ive only been at training for a week and a half... then again... i dont want to make excuses so...

oh and seen your sig...
i am SO nervous for miranda tomorrow.... since vargas retired, and morales is gone sorta, he is my favorite active fighter i am nervous as hell.... GO MIRANDA
thank you man!!! you know what i will try what you said my next sparring session... step to the side and go for the body... i know it will take some practise but thank you i will try that...
as for switching up
to be honest man i think i was more instinct that sparring match then anything... because of nerves and rust and everything... i think it was more natural, ill try to commit more towards one...
though one thing i was thinking is when he was shelled up like that, like mayweather gets... maybe i could have/should have switched to orthodox and thrown a straight right hand down the pipe...
or in your guys's opinion what would be the best thing to do then, my boy freddy (holding the camera) says just go to the body... but my power is pretty weak and i think it might be uneffective compared to just shooting a good right hand down the pipe, or maybe a right cross to the body...

Really good mate, one thing I will say is when you step in you don't always have to move forward, step in sideways and attack the body (i assume you're an amateur) and from that position you can score points to both the head and body.
Just out of interest why do you switch-hit? Why not try and find the stance which the partner is most vunerable to and stick to it.
Those are just minor though, that was some real good work
Mace man do i know you? im sorry if thats rude... lol... i cant place your screename with anyone i would know...
again... apologies m'man...
as for charlie... hes not even on my radar until he wins a fight... Im doing my thing, not sure i should get cought up with that cartoon boxing circle... decided against it.
Sucks because im not going to lie a big part of me wanted to get signed by slugoutboxing and get some easy touches... get a decent looking record of like 5-0... because down here in the imperial valley seems like EVERYONE fights and EVERYONE is good so it would be harder to be brought along in a way i can still learn as i go...
but im gonna do it that way, hopefully i am good enough...
its been real rough lately here.... i havnt been called back for a job, getting tired of sleeping on a floor... my money is running out, i think im going to do some quick cage fights just for some money to keep afloat awhile longer till i get a job... ive never been one to fight purely for money... its always been about more for me, and it feels weird and bad to fight just to live so to speak but i think its what i will have to do....
Hey thank you Mace i appreciate that... the camerman is my friend whos gonna help guide me a bit... i feel bad cuz im not a good listiner in there because when he tells me to jab or something, i just always feel out of range so i dont want to throw it but im going to work on that tonight.... thank you man ;)
and believe me im gonna beat the living shit out of charlie
What's the story with this Charlie guy?
Hi Kirk, good to see your safe and sound in Socal, sparring looks good and your trainer sounds like he knows his shit.
I hope you get a fight with that fucking bum on you tube and knock him the fuck out, well not hope, you would.
Keep it real mate and keep in touch.
