LOL yes it was, over the hill or not he still faced Hagler at that age and did quite well against Hags. He just couldnt get inside and got tagged really good. Thats probably what a Hatton williams fight would look like.
one of the most impressive knockouts of all time, if not the most impressive if you ask me. Duran had seen better days, but the guy was coming off a good effort against Marvin Halger and ended up looking very sharp against Barkley years later. No one ever stopped Duran again until he was practically 40 years old and at Middleweight.
ridiculous punch.
Well he had a nice right hand but come on duran was way over the hill in that fight.
Duran was older, but he wasn't over the hill. I doubt age had much if anything to do with that KO.

Duran had some great wins after that fight. Think of Davey Moore and Iran Barkley.
I was watching the Thomas Hearns vs. Roberto Duran fight. That right hand that put Duran down was.....I mean fuck.
Yep. That was brutal.
This right hand that Tommy used to deck the unbeaten James Schuler is perhaps the best Hearns ever unleashed. Right between the guards (0,57 and 2,35):
thomas hearns' right hand is the most beautiful punch in the history of boxing.
i don't even have the adjectives to describe the majesty of his jhery curl
