Someone like Toney should be tested before and after every fight!

Toney has 80 some fights. I thought he looked best five years ago at cruiserweight against Jirov. He's just carrying too much mass now. That dumb weightlifting he does because he doesn't have a ko punch at heavyweight. I don't think his trainer matters. He pretty much knows what he's doing in there and Roach doesn't have to give him much advice. He's just too old now, plain and simple. And Peter who is a much worse boxer, beat him up pretty good. Good post, thats how i see it.

If he's in shape you wouldn't see him fighting as a heavyweight, he would still be in the light heavy's. Dude looks like 40% of his body mass are kfc's and Karls. i agree but if he was in better shape, he would be heavyweight champion . i dont even think the guy bothers training he`s so fat

If Toney can get into shape (and I use that word relatively; i.e. good shape by his standards) he will wipe the floor with Chagaev, who is an ordinary fighter. I don't know though, if he can. He's forty this year, been a pro for two decades, and with no weight limit to make he's always going to have a struggle with controlling his diet. Plus he's no longer with Roach, the worlds best trainer (IMO). So it will be difficult.
