I've been seeing his name on the forums every once in while..
As a boxing fan, I try to do my research on a fighter by watching their fights..
Unfortunately, there aren't any fights of his on youtube..
I checked out his record.. I saw only 2 recognizable names..
Luis Maldonado
Jorge Arce
Is this guy any good?
I don't care about the midgets...I can't take them seriously.
How can you take a fuckin 115 lb midget seriously??
Wlad is the heavyweight champ and can beat the living shit outta any boxer on the planet.
You may not like them, but there are quite a few people that do. I like all the classifications of boxing not just one or a few. The smaller fighters are actually pretty exciting to watch. They are quicker and also seem to have higher workrates.

You may not care but others do. Show a little respect for a bad ass little guy like Mijares. You think anybody else besides eatern europeans care about Wlad?
That midget as you say is one of the top P4P fighters in the world.
Where's Wlad on the P4p list? Oh wait he's a piece of shit!

Mijares is a great 115 pound fighter. Slick, and highly entertaining. Very popular in Mexico but virtually unkown here in the states. His last fight drew 12,000+ fans in Mexico.
very exciting most of the time as well.
He's a very good defensive fighter who is discussed among the pound for pound best of today.
He's not a great offensive fighter though and sometimes throws wide shots that leaves himself open for counters and is sometimes open to wide shots himself and he lacks one punch knockout power.
But other than that, he's a very good overall fighter.
I haven't had the pleasure of seeing Mijares fight yet but I think the next fight he should have is against Fernando Montiel. That is the best fight at 115 imo.
One of the best defensive fighters in the sport. Is amazingly slick, throws a deadly accurate southpaw jab, throws beautiful combinations, amazing defense, etc.
He fights at 115, is the #8 p4p fighter according to the ring (not 10), and has a very impressive resume.
Top wins:
-Alexander Munoz (WBA champion. lost twice to Martin Castillo, but was on a huge comeback)
-Jorge Arce (Mijares was the underdog and it was Arce's 115 showcase. HUGE beating)
-Katsuigshe Kawashimax2 (Former WBC champion. Very tough fighter out of japan. Won an SD and then TKO 10)
-Jose Navarro (2000 US olympian. Pretty good contender)
Has a draw with Luis Maldonado, but judges have been known to be fucked up against Mijares (120-108 Navarro and 115-113 Munoz)
There are links of his Munoz fight (uploaded by me) and Arce (uploaded by right2die) in the downloading section. Check him out, for a guy who has so much skill he's highly entertaining too.

you have christian spelled wrong youtube cristian mijares youll find his fights
The first time I saw him was against Arce and I was just like where did this guy come from. Because he was slipping punches all over the place and just tagging Arce at will. Saw him against Navarro and Munoz and it was pretty much the same story. Would love to see him against Montiel or Donaire sometime in the future.
Cristian Mijares is one of the most skillful boxers in the world, and most certainly belongs in the top 10 p4p. He has amazing natural reflexes.
In his last fight he schooled a world-class boxer, Alexander Munoz, and unified the two world titles. People who watched were outraged by the judge from Panama scoring it for Munoz, because Mijares clearly and rather easily outboxed his opponent in virtually every round.
some guy I will knock out eventually and boxingscene will claim he was over the hill when I fought him and try to discredit my win...
Lol. Hahaha. Too funny.
Mijares is one of the best P4P. There are a few of his fights on youtube. Here's a vid of him stopping the previously never stopped Kawashima.
I've never seen that fight, he looked amazing. Maybe I misjudged him, i'll try and have a look over some other fights he's had.
