Joe Calzaghe number 1 P4P?
I have to dissagree.
Manny Pacman deserves number 1 hands down.
Then have Ricky Hatton (number 9) ahead of Cristian Mijarez?
Lol ooooh man... That site has got alot of work to do.
I mean seriously.. Look at that shit.

If you want ot find out the best 20 fighters (or 50) in every division, BoxRec is the best place to check.
People might disagree with a few places, but generally it's pretty accurate.
The P4P ranking isn't as good, but you've still got all the right people pretty close to the concensus right place.
Pretty well everyone in the top 20 should be in the top 20...
It's a machine that does the P4P lists, you get the same amount of points for beating a fighter prime or not. I believe you get more points for beating someone with titles and after you beat them you gain some of there points. if you lose you lose some points etc.

Boxrec is good at one thing and one thing only, keeping track of results. That has to be the WORST p4p list I've ever seen.
what if Pacquiao fought tomato cans and won all of it with a KO..
wheres does boxrec ranked him?
they should remove the p4p ranking list in their site
He still wouldn't get a high ranking because part of the matrix is what rank the opponents are at, and their rank is also based on achievement.
It's an impressive system in that it really tries to have an objective approach to the question.
I didn't know it was runned by a point system in computers.
Either way.. Pacman is number 1 in my book.
Even if Calzaghe did beat B-Hop.. In my book it wasn't impressive. In alot of books.

Joe Calzaghe is the prideful owner of 2 Ring belts, at the same time. Nobody else is doing that right now and there are divisions in which there isn't even a champion. Its quite an accomplishment really.

I think Hopkins was P4P over Mayweather up until the day he lost to Joey Cal on boxrec.
Ya it's true about the computer part. Computer is what ranks the fighters, and I never took that list seriously ever. I use the site exactly for what it's good for, records. Good background information on every fighter though too(born, stance, trainer, manager, etc.)
the boxrec rankings are clearly more accurate than those of every single sanctioning body in every single weight division. so the pointless p4p rankings suck. what a tragedy!
Yeah...What else is new?
Calzaghe is number one because Hopkins was ranked one, Joe beat him. Hence one. Calzaghe is number 1 imo, but their P4P is shitty as it gets.
It's based on a computer matrix hence Hatton's 10-2 victory over Lazcano is counted as an overwhelming victory rather than as a disappointing performance.
It isn't subject to the prejudices of a committee but neither is it open to judgement, hence it is an interesting tool but is a flawed one.
