his upcoming fight with rahman should anwer a lot. both are after the same thing. question is
despite the layoff, and his weight problems, can a very focused, in shape and active toney win a title belt at this age and stage?
if he had a win over rahman, maybe another ranked contender, hell even someone like David Haye!!! then he would be ready to challenge
we got klitschko, chagaev, peter as champions. Toney already fought peter and was robbed in the first fight.
can toney do it?
James toney just needs to get in fucking shape and he will be alright!! he got the skills to defeat any of these shit bag heavyweights...other than haye :)

he can win a title...sure...but i dont think he can win THEE heavyweight championship.
yeah, it was fucking sad, almost a robbery to give toney the decision, if rahman's shot too i still give james 50/50 odds on winning the fight. all those clubbing right hands peter landed behind james head really ruined hima damn shame. toney is one of my favourites too. maybe because im such a big fan i still think he's got a couple of good wins in him still. the rahman fight will decide it for me
filth how did he do in the batchelder fight? was it a sorry sight? i didnt get to see the fight

haye has holes in his defense, he's easier to hit in the head than he should be and tua will always have his power. i like haye, i'd like to see him bring some excitement back to the hw's but i'm not sold on haye until i see how well he can take a punch from a 240 lb man
james toney is one of my favorite fighters of all time, but after his last fight i think he's shot, too old, too much punishment on his body, too many cheesburgers filth how did he do in the batchelder fight? was it a sorry sight? i didnt get to see the fight
exactly, tua wont be unarmed for this fight, and there'll always be a puncher's chance. i dont know about this chin business, but haye been draining himself to make weight and that might have an impact. who knows how he'll handle a punch with a healthy body. we'll see. but i know that chin or no chin, if tua can time a good left hook, if he could get that second of an opening, and land it, you'll go down.
i'm hoping haye's chin "weakness" is due to weightdrain.
i've been sipping some of the brit kool-aid and some of them has been pointing at cotto's chin at 140 compared to 147 as an example.
i hope they're right. i wasn't a big haye fan before but all the klitschko guys' hate on him when he has barely jumped from cruiser kinda made me root for the guy.
plus he has charisma and he fights an exciting style.

the only time i ever came to know who zuri williams was when he faced brock, and he almost took his head off. but then again before the fight started i look at the record and it says 0 kos, i go 'howly shit, that's a record' lol. and at heavyweight.....just when you thought you've see everything in this crazy world
Yeah, and you'd think that guy had punching power at 6-4 240...
No kidding. The guy almost lost to Zuri Lawrence for crying out loud! A guy with what 40+ fights? And 0 KO's.

i want a tua-haye fight too. i think haye ud tua fairly easy and he better hope fairly "boring". any excitement in a haye-tua fight will not be good for haye.
tua just does not have the stamina or speed to keep up with haye as long as haye don't do anything stupid.
low risk very high name reward for haye. but like others point out "what if haye gets caught". i don't think tua can catch haye with anything significant anymore but if he does it'll be good indication of how good haye's chin is. i hope haye's chin is good enough. a good enough chin and david can get pretty far in this division right now. exactly, tua wont be unarmed for this fight, and there'll always be a puncher's chance. i dont know about this chin business, but haye been draining himself to make weight and that might have an impact. who knows how he'll handle a punch with a healthy body. we'll see. but i know that chin or no chin, if tua can time a good left hook, if he could get that second of an opening, and land it, you'll go down.
oh i see. i also did hear some things myself. it wasnt exactly a robbery but the reports said that it was a close affair. who knows. but i think toney will get his shit together and actually do what he must. despite what many say i look forward to the rahman fight. this should tell alot. rahman himself been taking it soft

i wouldnt mind seeing tua again. hopefully he'll go after witherspoon-arreola winner like he promised. i wouldnt mind seeing him against haye
i would actually match haye against any 'name' heavyweight at this point because that's what he needs right now, names to season his record a little

I never saw it either but a bunch of the press (or at least I recall) had Batchelder ahead. I also heard it was a snoozefest; however, there were .gifs of him getting rocked by that guy which said "owned" on it. oh i see. i also did hear some things myself. it wasnt exactly a robbery but the reports said that it was a close affair. who knows. but i think toney will get his shit together and actually do what he must. despite what many say i look forward to the rahman fight. this should tell alot. rahman himself been taking it soft
i actually never saw that fight, i know he was juiced :nonono:but was it horrible?

toney-tua nabf-usba unification bout!!!!!! woo hoo!!!!!!
ummm...... tua still has enough to get a usba belt right?......... ummm......i hope so. i wouldnt mind seeing tua again. hopefully he'll go after witherspoon-arreola winner like he promised. i wouldnt mind seeing him against haye
